My FI and I were planning a Thailand honeymoon but had to change our plans because we wouldn't be able to get enough money together in time and realized that we'd be spending too much time in airplanes and not enough time really relaxing and exploring the place as much as we'd like.

We had been planning on flying into Bangkok and exploring the city for a couple day, then flying north to Chaig Mai to explore some jungles and temples for a while, then flying south to Phuket to relax on a beach.

We were planning flights and hotels, but hadn't actually finalized exactly what we were going to do in those places, so I can't tell you much more than that.

We'll probably try again in a few years when we've got more money and time off, but for now, we're going a little closer to home but still exotic in Belize.

My husband and i went traveling for 10 months for our honeymoon and spent about 5 weeks in thailand.

we did Koh Pha Ngan, Railay, Koh Jam, Koh lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Chiang Mai, Pai, Mae Hong Son, and Bangkok.

I would highly recommend going to one of the islands (koh phi phi is beautiful but touristy, koh pha ngan and fun and has nice beaches, railay has amazing views) and also going north, if you can. Chiang Mai has temples and elephants and ride fields, and Bangkok is, well, Bangkok.
