I haven't gotten insurace yet but I plan to get some when we book our honeymoon. My friend is getting married this weekend and they bought a policy through their insurace company, it was a good thing they did because the Swine Flu hit and their resort closed down. They got the full cost of the trip refunded so they could go somewhere else. I'd say go for it, talk to your own insurance company and maybe a travel agent! Good luck and have fun!
We have travel insurance for our honeymoon. We got it through our travel agent, so I'm not sure the compnay that was used. They will cover the costs of a new trip, if something happens, or if say a hurricane hits half way through and we don't get to stay, they'll cover us coming back at other time, etc.
I didn't even think to call my insurance company. We're booking everything ourselves so I don't have a travel agent. Thanks for the tips, ladies!

Has anyone bought travel insurance before? We're going to Thailand and we've been advised to buy a policy. What company did you use etc?
