Yoga pants and a tshirt, I'm all about being comfortable when I'm travelling.
I wear jeans, slip on shoes (so I can take them off easily!!) and a cute t-shirt. I always bring either a cardigan or hooded sweatshirt, since the airplane is too hot or too cold. If you have jeans that fit without a belt that's even better since you have to take that off at security too.
@MissBoPeep: same
Its usually yoga pants or jeans and a tshirt w/a sweatshirt and flip flops or slip on shoes....I like comfort and convenience!
@PitBulLover: same for me as well. If its travel for work, I'll wear jeans on the plane, if its not for work, i'm all about the yoga pants.
how long's the flight? whenever i go somewhere that's more than say a 5-6hr plane ride away, i like to wear a cotton or sweater dress and leggings with boots or flats (depending on the time of year) just so i'm comfortable on the plane, but still relatively presentable when I get off. i absolutely will not wear a dress or skirt without something under it, planes are just so dirty IMO. if it's a 2-3 hr flight, then jeans and a fitted t-shirt with a blazer is probably fine. do you have slip on boots? if not moccasins are probably better. also try to avoid belts.
I always like to look cute in airports so i typically wear skinny jeans tucked into easily removeable boots, a cute but comfortable top with short sleeves (in case the plane is hot) and a jacket (in case the plane is cold).
For a blues concert I would go with the jeans and top - not sure blues is ready for bandage dresses haha
I have never flown before.. But if I was going to I would wear something cute and comfortable like this & then change once I got to where I was going:

Wouldn't have to be any certain brand just some cute sweats that matched!
I wear layers; sometimes the plane is hot but the past few flights I was cold next to the window.
Otherwise I dress normally in jeans and a comfy top. I don't find that taking my shoes off and putting them back on really takes that much time so I don't have any special type of shoes that I wear. I do make sure that I wear shoes that I can walk long distances in. You never know if they're going to switch your gate or how far away food or baggage claim is.
Jeans and a Tshirt or sweater depending on the season and easy shoes to take off for normal domestic flights. For longer flights, sweatpants instead of jeans.
Depends how long the flight is, I wear comfortable jeans and a couple layers, like a nice top and then a blazer on top and maybe one more layer depending on where I'm going. I like to wear shoes that dont require socks so i can slip them on and off easily.
I travel a lot for work and I actually love to wear dresses on planes (no waist band = super comfortable). I'd wear a dress, tights, boots (as long as they are easy to pull off) with your blazer on top. Easy, cute, and comfortable. THEN, if you were planning on bringing boots anyway you don't have to pack them!
You guys rock! I'm loving all the suggestions! The flight is about 2 hours and normally I would wear just yoga pants and a comfy t-shirt but since I'm not checking any bags I want to try and wear as much of my stuff as I can hence my thought about wearing my boots. I don't want them taking up too much room in my carry on. And also since I'm meeting my friend there I don't wanna look too frumpy (if that's even a word) because the friend is a guy :) I'm heavily leaning towards jeans and a top for the concert too! I would hate to be uncomfortable all night being over dressed.
I love the blazer outfit and if the flight isn't long then you shouldn't be uncomforable. I think jeans and a top for the blues event too. Have fun!
When I travel domestically, I will usually wear jeans, ballet flats (plus I bring thick socks to wear on the plane), a cute fitted tee, a long sweater, and a pashmina. (Something really close to your inspiration pictures - super cute!) That way I have lots of layers in case the plane is hot or cold. I also try to wear my hair down and put it up into a ponytail or bun when we land - this keeps any kind of "up do" from getting flattened on the head rest.
When I travel overnight, I sub my Lululemon "still pants" (like yoga pants but a little bit looser) for jeans so that I can sleep comfortably.
One more tip (that I learned from a friend who is a first class flight attendant) - I always try to look put together and sophisticated... tailored lines, nice clothes, no PJs/sweats, jewelry, light make up. She says that you get MUCH better treatment from the crew if you look nice. They never offer upgrades to people who look sloppy.
I always wear something comfortable - yoga pants or sweat pants and tennis shoes. I like to curl up in my seat if I can, so anything else would hinder that. I don't think it looks sloppy either. It looks comfortable.
@pec1216: I like what you are thinking of.
I usually wear jeans, t-shirt or tank top, sweater and have my north face fleece.
I also wear the heaviest shoes I'm bringing with me (usually boots or sneakers) so I can save room in my luggage.
I definitely don't go for style when I travel on the plane, always comfort.. Well depends how long the flight is. Typically my warddrobe is just a normal baby v-neck t-shirt, my convertible pants, runners, a light weight jacket, a small backpack, and sometimes the money belt that goes under my clothing. I try to wear not much jewlery since I hate taking it off all the time going through security. Also no belts, easy shoes to take off.. Try not to wear clothing that has metal on it so I don't set off the metal detector.
I love these pants for travelling:

On my more "adventure" type vacations, I like the rain jackets that can hold into pack into itself in a pouch, similar to this. They aren't "cute" jackets persay but are practical and handy.

I wear whatever will save me the most space in my luggage! Haha. So that would be boots, my heaviest sweater, a top, my scarf and jacket, and jeans. If I'm travelling for work I just wear my dress pants. 2 hours isn't long so you won't get too uncomfortable. If it was 4+ hours then I'd go with yoga pants but for 2 I wouldn't bother.
Here's what I came up with outfit wise...What do you think?
Option 1 out there

Option 2

BB King green or pink

Why are the pics so big? I sized them down like crazy! UGHHHHH!!!! I hate taking pics in a mirror but it's the only way I could show my madre :)
Well here's what I'm wearing home...
I love the outfit going home and the bright colors. And where oh where didd you get that blazer? i love it!
@pec1216: THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WEAR!!
I was going to write....soft skinny jeans, high flat boots (if its cold) or ballet flats (if its warm), socks, a tank top, a t-shirt, a long snuggly wrap, sunglasses, and my messenger/hand bag. I just keep adding and removing layers as I need to. I have a lot of long flights with connections, so I need options. I also carry a huge bottle of water, a granola bar, an apple, and a banana--just to keep hydrated and boost my immune system and metabolism.
I love option 1 & 2. :) Of course I have like an identical jacket LOL
And those look my Frye boots in your celeb pic...which are my travel boots LOL. My travel ballet flats are my JCrew leopard ones that are totally adorbs.
It's from J.Crew! I love it too! I pined over it for months and my grandmother got it for me on a whim shopping trip. It's the Hacking style if you look it up online
Jeans, ballet flats, t-shirt, long snuggly cardigan.
I never wear yoga pants or sweats out of the house (excluding the gym). I don't see anything wrong with it, it just makes me feel self conscious and I feel better/more confident in "real" clothes.
It depends on the flight for me. If it's a short flight (under 5 hours or so) I'll usually wear jeans, tee shirt, and sweater, with ballet flats. Longer than 5 or 6 hours and/or overnight, yoga pants, tee shirt, ballet flats. Either way I pack thick socks in my carry on to wear on the plane (I actually have a pair from the hospital when I had surgery last year that I take now).
When I flew to China (Philly to Chicago to Shanghai and back), it was *definitely* yoga pants and sweats. I was not traveling for 24 hours in anything more binding than that in the middle of winter.
When I travel in the summer, I'll usually do a cotton sundress and leggings- I can stop and take the leggings off on my way out and I'm presentable. I do try to always wear a little makeup so I don't look dead, and make sure my hair is clean and presentable.
The boots should be fine as long as you don't take forever to fumble in and out of them.
Which shirt should I wear in the morning? The Bucs shirt or the black one?
OH and I'm so nervous about this trip by the way! I'm going to meet a guy there and we are both so anxious to see each other again! Eeeekkk!!!

So I'm going out of town to visit a friend next weekend and am kinda lost as to what I should wear on the plane. My first thoughts were a fitted t-shirt blazer jeans and boots but then I don't know if I should wear my moccasins so that I can take them off for security. What's your go to travel outfit? Pictures would greatly help!
Oh and also we're going to a blues concert that night and we're VIP guest so should I wear jeans and a top or a bandage skirt and top? I'm so excited and nervous for this trip so I'm trying to plan it to be perfect!
