OMG OMG I love Traverse City!! FH is from Michigan and his family owns a cottage up there, it's so beautiful!! That was my first time to Michigan, it was such a nice experience!!

We loved her work, her prices and she was so pleasant with all of our guests and us. She travels up to 5 hours outside of the Traverse area for free so she would definitely travel to your location with no extra cost.

Got married in TC in August, and I thought I'd help out my fellow bees with local vendor reviews - a small way to say thank you before I leave the hive! I'm only posting the names of vendors who were awesome - PM me if you want the names of vendors who weren't so great.
Raves: These vendors were amazing. Book them.
Photographer: Cory Weber. Amazing pictures, great photo-journalistic style, and so easy to work with. He captured the day perfectly.
Band: Jeff Haas trio and quintet. Although they typically do more contemporary jazz, I wanted an older, nostalgic sound - standards from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. They completely nailed it - every song was perfect. We got so many compliments on them from our guests. Jeff was also super easy to work with.
Regrets: These vendors were not so great ...
Hair/makeup - the place I went had to re-do my hair four times (I didn't have any problem with it - they just kept taking it out and starting all over again!) and they burned my forehead with the curling iron. I had a burn mark for weeks (fortunately it didn't look that bad until the day after the wedding). The makeup was good though. PM me if you want their name.
Venue - I'd probably still do it at this venue because it is beautiful and the guests loved it. There were many many many little problems though, and a good deal of poor communication. PM me if you want their name or more info.
Flowers - The flowers for the centerpieces were below the standards of what we had discussed. That said, this florist was the only one who would even consider doing the flowers within my budget. I'd probably still use them for the corsages, bouquets, and bouts, but I would have ordered my centerpieces online. PM me for their name.
