    We are having a summer rustic wedding. I have googled a lot but cannot find any "tree slices" for sale. Can anyone help suggest any websites or stores? Thank you ladies!

    yes, the circular tree trunks. I found the ones on etsy, but I was hoping that maybe an online store somewhere sold them in bulk. I am not too keen on cutting my own, but maybe I might have to get my fh to!

    Also found this site but they don't mention bulk pricing. You can contact them and see what they can work out though.

    put an ad on craigslist and ask anyone who might be doing some land clearing or taking down a tree to contact you.

    I use branches and trees all the time in decorating for parties and never have to pay for anything.

    I am looking for the same thing! Have you found any? I just watched a David Tutera My Fair Wedding episode and they used tree slices. I believe he said they rented them from Classic Party Rentals, however, I checked the website and was unable to find anything. Let me know if you have any luck!

    @julies1949:

    I second this, paying the shipping costs for wood would be a bitch.

    How many are you looking for? I wanted a large tree stump as an "author's podium" for my classroom. My dad followed a tree cutting service in the neighborhood and told them what I was looking for. They gave him some free of charge. Of course you could only get a few this way and they were large, so if you were looking for a lot it probably wouldn't be the best bet.

    I found some at Joanns, its not a thick cut, they're about half to 3/4 of an inch. And not expensive. I can't remember the price. I'm sure if you looked around the wooden section of the craft stores they would have some.

    Hello.

    I may be able to help, what are you looking for (size, shape, finish, etc) and how many do you need?  what do you want to spend per slice?

    CAUTION: wood slices can be very heavy when done on the right type of wood (ie hardwood; pine is cheaper and lighter) AND shipping is proportionally expensive!
