what tends to be the big thing you see people post about on the wedding bee community?
that is, aside from the typical, does my dress look good on me? etcetera
I guess what i’m asking is, what do girls seek advice on the most when planning their wedding?

That’s a hard one. We have a bunch of wedding topics above because that’s how many things we talk about. I come on here whenever I need to pick between to ideas or I want to a run an idea by someone.

Lately, a lot of political stuff =]
But often, a lot of “Here’s my DIY, what do you think?” which I love =]

Hmmmm…. that is definitely a hard one. I would say people tend to write the most about their various relationships and issues that they are having. I think there are a lot of posts about family issues, Fiance issues, in-law issues, etc. So I would say relationships get the most talked about.

Generally I think people seek advice on the etiquette side of things. Things like how to address envelopes or inviting estranged family members always seem to be popular questions. Theme related questions as well – how to tie in a specific colour into the groomsmen attire and things.
A few weeks ago there seemed to be posts about shoes a lot – so that was definitely trending!
I think most people come just to discuss weddings though and be amongst a group of women (and occasionally men) who’re going through the same things as they are. That’s kind of the nice thing about WB – we don’t need to talk weddings, we can also talk about our emotions and fears.

A lot of ceremony schedule, logistics about cocktail hour, size of event, inviting, ect.
I really like it when there are polls to determine which dress, cake, ect is best! Anything with pictures and I’m in. Threads where you can share what you are doing are also very helpful….this site has EVERYTHING 🙂

I think a big one (okay, this is going to be kinda vague, but bear with me!) is checking for approval. Whether it’s DIY critiques, or situational drama, we all like to be reassured that what we’re doing & what we’re feeling is okay!
It really speaks volumes to the care and dedication of the Hive Hostesses, Mr & Mrs Bee, Mrs Pengy and the generations of Bees, in my opinioon, to have a community that really can bring people together through both differences and similarities, making a place where everyone can be celebrated! =)

I agree with approval/opinions. Most people find the Bee when looking for inspiration or if they have a specific question in mind. It’s us serial hive members who bring up most of the off-topic issues.
