Hi triangle area brides – I wish it was called that not RTP, I feel like that’s a specific area where people work – anyway, has anyone used triangle catering company? I’m looking at a venue that exclusively uses them and want to know what they’re like – quality, options, budget. And will they let us bring in our own alcohol? We’re in the restaurant biz and there’s no way I am paying someone else for wine and beer I can get at cost.
Thanks for the help!

We checked with them, they are pretty expensive. I believe they also require you to do alcohol with them.
They do have tasty food and drinks though, we got samples at the bridal expo… it just wasn’t within our budget and we’ve decided to do most of the catering ourselves with the help of family. Goodluck!

If I were you I’d go to the next bridal show at the fairgrounds and check out their booth and of course free samples (even little martinis!)

Not sure if you’ve looked into them and I guess its not an option if you are going with that specific venue, but I am meeting with Durham Catering in a few weeks, and on their website it says, "We do not charge cake cutting or corkage fees… in fact, we think they’re a rip-off." Now that’s my kinda place! We are looking to bring our own alcohol, too. I know very little else about them except the food looks tasty and they come recommended by someone who has worked in high-end food in CH for years. Good luck!

I’ve used Durham Catering before for a work function and I would highly recommend them. The owner used to be the chef at Pop’s in Durham I believe. He and his wife now run Durham Catering. The food was excellent, their prices are reasonable, they use fresh and local ingredients, and they let us supply our own drinks including beer and wine.
