Ladies I went to try on my dress today with my newly finished shoes and to see if I needed to take out some fabric so I don’t step on it. I’m going back in August for a 1st proper fitting.
So I tried it on with no crinoline underneath then I tried on with full poof crinoline. Without the crinoline is beautiful but when I walk I sometimes step on the tulle, with the poof I don’t, it’s away from my feet and I won’t need to take away fabric for the hemming.
What do you ladies think? Poof or no Poof?
Now here’s some pictures:
I had to take a picture with my shoes, showing them off a little:
And now WITH poof:
Sorry for posting sooo many pictures, I went a little crazy hihi
So what do you ladies think?

I think your side profile is prettier with the poof. Honestly I can’t tell much difference at all. I think it is slightly better with the crinoline from the side views, plus it will save you $$ from not having it hemmed. I vote poof!

I had this same issue! I really didn’t WANT a poofy dress, but I found that after I put the crinoline underneath my own dress: a) it wasn’t as poofy as I imagined it would be b) it was WAY easier to walk in and c) the crinoline held the shape of the dress much more nicely than without. So, I voted for poof! I think you’ll be more comfortable walking in it, and it doesn’t change the overall look of the dress very much.

Thanks ladies, I really appreciate your comments and votes. I guess Poof is taking the lead 🙂

I prefer your dress with the poof as well. You look great!

I also agree: I love the poof! You can take it off through the night if it’s uncomfortable, but it really does justice to both you & the dress.

@Ivorybuttons: That’s what I’m thinking of doing, wear it for ceremony then take it off for the reception.

Can I ask what kind of crinoline you used?

@Mrs.Btobe: It was a 3 tier tulle crinoline if that makes sense, that’s what the girl said. I’m not too familiar with crinolines.
@Lyndzo: Thank you.
