I’m not a fan of the third pic (the super defined, angular triangle), so if that’s what it would look with without a halo, then I’d opt for the halo. The last pic has more rounded edges though and seems like it could be set without having such an angular look, so I wouldn’t necessary get a halo for that one.

Damiansmum10:  i wouldn’t get a halo for this particular cut. its such a unique cut, and the halo would take away from the beauty of it.

I would go with the white sapphire ring from one of your previous threads. I think the quartz will just look like a big hunk of glass.

Your post is very difficult to read, and I am definitely not a grammar nazi.

DewB59:  This is one of her better ones.

Damiansmum10:  Quartz is really soft… even though it’s called a “Herkimer diamond” it’s not nearly as hard as a diamond (7 on Mohs). I feel like it wouldn’t make a good forever stone because it will just get all scratched up. Stick with a sapphire or CZ as even CZs are harder (8 on Mohs).

Are they charging you the price of a 4.64 quartz even after cutting it down to a 3.0? If so, why not just get the size quartz you want?

GreenBayBee:  It’s a natural quartz crystal with some properties that make it a bit different from other quartz. It’s named after the area where it was first found.
