Ok, so I cannot be the only Bee who lovessss True Blood.  It's my happy hour every week.  So, since the episode for this week just ended I just thought I'd ask how everyone felt about this season thus far.  :)

I haven't been able to see this episode yet but true blood is one of my favorite if not my very favorite series. Its such a shame there are so few epis every season. I am liking this season pretty well its a lot better than when there was that witch in town making people do all kinds of crazy stuff and making meat statues and stuff. When I saw that season I thought the series was really going down hill and fast but now i think its back to great.

I'm liking it a lot! Although I'm not a fan of Sookie and Eric. Even though I've read all the books, it'll take some getting used to. I like her with Bill better. This season is great so far. Last weeks episode was my favorite!!

Hell YES! I read the books, so it is fun for me to watch every week. I was just WAITING for Sookie and Eric to have sex! =)

I haven't read the books but I'm thinking I should.  I just don't want to know anything about the series because I love being like, "wtf..." at the end of every episode.

I have to say I love Eric and Sookie, but only because Eric has amnesia.  I was fully against them getting together before he lost his memory and was totally upset when she and Bill didn't work out.

Does anyone know when season 4's season finale is?

@MissOtter31: The books are a lot different! The first one is REALLY close...and then it veers off. I am still like, "WTF?!" every week because this last season is SO different from the books!

I looooove True Blood!!! I was waiting for SO long for Sookie and Eric to be together; people may not like him, but I like him a lot better than I liked Bill.. I'm sad because I feel like this season is almost over, and it always passes too quickly.. I don't want Eric to get his memory back though :(

@armywife1029: I don't want Eric to get his memory back either.  I love innocent Eric.  Though, can I just say how disappointed I was in the lack of legitimate shower scene yesterday?  Childish, I know.  But seeing Alexander Skarsgard and Anna Paquin get it on is one of my favorite aspects of the show (haha).

Oh, and does anyone else find that baby doll REALLY creepy?

I love Eric but I hate this pussy version of him (sorry). He was slightly better this episode... maybe because of all the nakedness. MMMM.

DH has watched it with me since the begining with loud complaints. He loved this season..until this episode with the snow and the bed. Then the eye rolling began again.

    love the new Erik!

I want a Sookie and Erik show. Vampire Bill pisses me off with his HORRIBLE southern accent. And also, he's a whiner. I wish they would give up the stories of Sam, Tara, and Arlene. So booooring. And that lady who plays Debbie is so...ugh...

    MORE NAKED ALCIDE!!

Oh my God.  I hate Tara.  HATE her.  She makes bad life choices all the freaking time.  And I hate Tommy.  I truly don't understand how someone can be such a bad person.  I wish Sam had killed him at the end of Season 3.

@MissTatas:"I love Eric but I hate this pussy version of him" <---- THIS

I am obsessed with this show. It might be competing with Dexter for my favorite all-time show. I really liked the start of this season with the 13 month jump to move the story line along and shake things up... but Eric drives me freaking crazy! I hate him and Sookie together. I actually would be more pro-them if she got with him before he  lost his memory. yes, he was an asshole then... but he showed the good parts too. He was all complicated and bad in a way that would seriously f up your life but makes for awesome tv. This Eric is like a child. Me and DH just make fun of him. He's like a 10 year old... it almost feels like she's taking advantage when she sleeps with him because something is NOT RIGHT with him. Ick.

And yes.. Tara. Stop crying. STOP IT.

Also I don't think I like the lafayette/medium story arc. I liked it when hew as just a normal human... there are too few of them anymore. I liked the boyfriend and don't mind that he's a witch or whatever... but why does lafayette have to be one too? Meh.

Also, I'm considering starting to read the books. Would they still be good do you think even though I've seen 3.5 seasons of the show already?

Did anyone read the books?  I think they changed a few major things that are confusing and added some really good things.  I can't wait for the end of the witch war so they can get to the fairy war, much more drama.

I think a lot more craziness is to come, The way the last episode ended was nuts. I like Sookie and Eric, but it wont last.. Gran said so lol. I think Sookie is gonna be kinda pissed at Tara once she finds out that she was a part of the whole circle thing, but I kinda feel bad for her bc I know she loved that chick, but her town is bat shit crazy so I would say if you care about someone get them out of there. I think she did the right thing. Idk I think there is going to be a lot more to look forward to this season.

I don't understand why this tiny Louisiana town has so much nonsense.  Witches, shapeshifters, werewolves, werepanthers, vampires.  It's insane.

    LOVE True Blood!

Actually, this season is doing a pretty good job of staying true to the books - though it's not consecutive, really. I want an Eric. Or an Alcide.

@Aubergold: Can we get an AMEN!!!

Personally this season I haven't been really sold on the whole concept and keep putting off watching the episodes. I was a die hard fan though. Perhaps I'll go back and watch once it is over.

There are four more episodes left in this season.

I think I want to get the books and read them.  I only started watching TB at the end of last season, because my FI loves it and I loved Twilight, so he assumed I'd love TB, too.  But, there are a lot of questions I have about some of the characters and situations, so I'd like to read up on it.

I loved when Marnie (Antonia) made Pam's face rot!

I ♥ True Blood! (And I prefer asshole Eric better ;) Lafayette is my favorite character, 2nd is Jason--Yum! Tara is annoying, but if she didn't make bad choices it wouldn't be good TV... I like the Witch/Antonia; that woman is an AMAZING actress!

@LittleDee27: I find it ironic that the woman who plays Marnie/Antonia also played Aunt Petunia in Harry Potter.  She so desperately wanted to be a witch in HP, and now she is!  :D

Ugh I hate the witch/antonia. Like okay so SOME vampires wronged you. Do you really need to kill all of them? boo.

    Also... alcide = amazingly hot.

Forget Erik, Sookie needs to hook up with Alcide. He is WAY hotter, and way more masculine.

@CorgiTales: you can easily pick up the books even though you started with the show. the stories are so different it won't effect much. My only problem is since I am caught up with both, I watch the season, then read a book when it comse out, then watch a season, and sometimes I get confused when reading what happened in a book vs. what happened in the show and have to ask DH if he remember's something like xyz happening from what he has seen. LOL. I may be the only one who has this problem because when I read I visualize everything so I often get confused if I read something in a book or have seen something in a movie/TV show.

@CorgiTales: Oh, I don't like the fact that the Witch wants to kills our Vampires! Heaven's no! She must die...Just that she is a good character for the plot and the actress is fantastic.

Alcide! Yes! Probably the hottest guy on the show, especially since Eric turned into a sappy sweet, innocent guy. Me? I like'em a little more rough and tumble! My FH says that sometimes when we are watching TB, and Alcide makes an appearance, I make a soft noise. Like a little moan. I deny this.

@MissTatas: I totally feel the same! I kind of liked that Erik was a "bad boy" asshole type, but was starting to soften ever so slightly when it came to matters of Sookie :)

I feel like they castrated him.

    @nutMeg13:Alcide is SUPER hot.

I will admit, the first episode jarred me. I didn't like the fact Sookie had been gone for a year, but I fell RIGHT back into it, like immediately.

I just can't get enough. LOVE this show.

@Atalanta: I watched TB before Twighlight, and it was so tame in comparison. I was like: So where's the blood? Exploding vampires? Slightly graphic sex scenes? No? Oh...that sucks.

Love True Blood! My guilty pleasure.

Though I hate amnesiatic Eric. What a pussy! I miss old Eric. AND I MISS RUSSELL AND TALBOT AND FRANKLIN!

The witch plotline had the potential to be good but I worry they've squandered it with more Sookie bullshit now that she's shot and her various male admirers now have to, once again, drop everything to save her.

Not a fan of new Eric. I like old Eric way better. Alcide is fab, yummm... but here's the thing, I feel like the episodes the last couple of weeks have been soooo slowwwwww with plot development, I mean, as delicious as Eric is nekkid, the snowy scene just lasted wayyyy too long. And now he's the witch's b*tch? WTF. Asshole Eric needs to return, and how.

I love True Blood!  Although I'm not even sure why.  It's not typically the kind of show I'd be into.  And every week I sit there wondering why I'm so intrigued by it all.  It just works I guess.

It's funny that most people don't like the new Eric.  I don't either.  I think I'd like it better if he was still the "bad boy" but loved Sookie in the same way.  It'd make his character more complex and attractive.  Although I feel like Sookie is going to end up with the werewolf, what's his name?  If not with him, in some kind of odd triangle.

I'm also not a fan of pussy eric. I much prefer him as a total badass. I love Alcide, and I also still really like Bill. Tara is the absolute worst. She's horrible and her whiny stories are so played out. Same with Sam's brother, Tommy. I mean how many times are we going to see them get in a fight, reconcile, get in a fight, reconcile. It's boring.
