@retreadbride: Nope, we didn't consummate that night. We were too busy partying with our friends until 4 a.m.... and the next night, too! Wasn't until we went away for our mini-moon a couple of days later. :)
we didnt do it the night of either - we were TIRED and needed sleep!
edit: opps, didnt notice this was 40 something board, im 30 something
Damn woman, a WEEK? Lol We didn't do it on our wedding night because we are morning people, so we consummated first thing in the am. But we could (and never have) gone more than a day or two because I won't allow it:)
Time changes, work, his son came home with us, heat wave. We have been together nine years already- not like we dont know how- lol
You know, we're staying at our house after the wedding with my two children and we're both more than okay with it (and will probably be too tired anyway). We're leaving for our honeymoon the following Monday and figure we'll have plenty of time on our HM to make things official.
hee hee, I wonder if this will happen to us too. if I'm tired and drunk, I'm not in the mood at all.
Ah, we didn't either. Stayed up late partying. Didn't the night after either, but once we got to St. Martin on our honeymoon, we made up for the lag. I remember it felt weird being in an "unconsummated" marriage for the first two days. Was getting a little worried that maybe marriage changed things. It did -- for the better!
We didn't consumate on our wedding night either. I had my PERIOD and it totally started on my wedding day-talk about terrible luck!
We were exhausted! I wouldn't even let him help me out of the dress b/c of the Ultra-Spanx underneath and he was snoring by the time I got undressed.
@jjmomma:~~~ chuckling~~~ I dont worry about under carriage anymore, but that sawing logs thing- has to get worked on. Dont tell but I do it too. Good thing these little things dont bother us older women.
@sueanddemetrius: LOL that happened to me at our wedding 18+ years ago...
and I certainly imagine at our vow renewal, with all of our friends there that we have made over the years, that is probably NO WAY it will happen that night either... maybe the next day, but certainly not that night! hahah

as an over 40, encore bride any one to admit they did not "consumate" the marriage that night- took us a week to get on the same page, same energy level- between back to work, jet lag, and stuff that we had put on hold to cover last minute wedding stuff.. He kept teasing we that I wanted to have to option to "annul" the wedding.
Were we the only ones?
