    I've got to fess up and see if anyone else is guilty of this against their husband/ SO;

when he's not looking I toss out his ugly clothes.

but in my defense its truly heinous stuff....an electric blue suit! ties from the 80's, grandpa ugly brown shoes.  Shirts that are too short for him, jeans that are cut all wrong.   I know this is awful, and if he did it to me I'd be throwing a tantrum- I do it in the name of having a cute husband.

Do you have anything to confess?  Lets air it all out girls :)

Does he miss any of that?

My FI has a pair of really bright blue windpants that I find hideous. He would absolutely know if they were gone. In fact, he asked me to sew them up -- and I told him the fabric is deteriorating!

I've been known to bring new clothes into the house for him, including socks & underwear if his need replacing.

I hide my fiances keys/spare change/socks so he won't leave them lying around on the floor/countertops.  Evil? Maybe.  Effective? Yes.

I totally do the same thing.  Mr. Dan's mom will give him hideous clothes that he will NEVER wear but hold on to for 3 years just because she gave it to him. ...Out they go!

THis is so funny!  I totally do this!  For some reason, DH will NOT let go of his heinous, dirty, old, hole ridden socks and I can't stand it!  I throw them out all the time.  One time he didn't even have enough socks to get through his work week and he was baffled. :)  I played dumb.  I know now that I must replace his socks for every 6 pairs I throw out, or he will begin to notice  my diabolical scheme.

Yup! I...um...rotate out clothes all the time. His work clothes get sooo wrecked, dirty and holes burned all over them, that there's more hole than cloth...so they get dropped in my strategically-placed garbage can next to the dryer. He had a few "questionable" looking shirts when I met him. When he moved into our house, he was packing them up & I'm like WHAT? You've never worn that since I've met you! Ummm....yeah....went in the Goodwill box. :)
@MrsK2be...you have to have the replacements ready...lol! I don't give him the new stuff I buy until I get rid of old stuff, that way he's so excited "Oh, new socks!", he forgets about the old ones.

Haha I have yet to throw out any of my FH's clothes, however, he seriously has a hard time throwing ANYTHING out- I mean from Christmas cards to ancient hand-me-down kitchen bowls or utensils to actual FOOD in the refridgerator that has been there way too long. So, when he is not looking I frequently "go purging"- he NEVER notices! I love it!!If he catches me red-handed, he puts up a big fuss though so I have to be really careful about it! With that said, I can't WAIT until the showers so I can have a great excuse to get rid of all of our mis-matched stuff! If he whines about it, well... I'll be bringing out the trash can as soon as he heads to work! :)

    Too funny!

My ex had horrible taste and coul not dress himself for s**t. I always threw his stuff away!

FH is good, so there have only been a few things that I've questioned. He's really conservative, his friends call him the King of the Button-downs. Before we started dating, if he came into the bar where I worked, and I didn't like his shirt, I would spray him down with water from my gun. Totally drench him. He must really love me! I was a huge brat to him.

My husband has like 30 magazine subscriptions, and he refuses to get rid of them. I secretly get rid of the old ones. He swears they are all collector's items...I beg to differ.

Um ... I totally have this plan, but am not going to start doing it until after the wedding. I know he'll be pissed if he catches me, so I'm going to have to be reeeallly sneaky!

@bree: I do the same thing! He stays in hotels on the weekends in the fall for work and has some weird obsession with taking the local magazines they put in the room. he also does this with airline magazines sometimes. I have to toss out some of his subscription magazines sometimes too.

And all those little shampoos and lotions... you thought your mother was bad! I haven't had to purchase lotion or conditioner for a few months now cause I am trying to get rid of all the ones we have under the sink! haha!

I've hid clothing of his before too!! I completely understand!

Lately, I've just been tossing his sports magazines. As soon as they're in the mail, I just toss them in the recycling bin. I toss them because they just pile up and he forgets them. He doesn't miss it. Besides, he has other sports mags that he goes out, looks for, and buys. THOSE he would notice if they were gone!

WHen I do laundry I throw out socks/undies that are beyond their life. His real clothes? Not really an issue since he's been military for so long, his closet is completely outdated. He's perfectly ok with letting me pick out all his clothes for him as long as it's not pink or pastel or too metro. He does the polos on a regular basis and doesn't wear t-shirts very often (just this one that says World Champion that he loves) so his closet is pretty standard I think.

I did find a pair of jorts and heckled him about them until he got rid of them. In his defense, they were cool in 2004 apparently. I think not.

Bree, I also recycle my husband's old magazines.  He lets them pile up and pile up and I honestly don't think he notices when I get rid of them.  Thankfully, he does a good job of keeping track of his clothes.  He does all his own laundry and actually has a very good sense of style, so I never touch his stuff. :)

I definitely get rid of the nasties that still lurk in his drawers. Seriously he holds onto all of his old sock, boxers, undershirts for way way too long. They just happen to go missing in the wash. Hmmmm I wonder where they went??

Magazines are a good one too! Good grief, we have umpteen Cabellas magazines and full blown catalogs from years ago! I just slip them into the trash one by one and hope he doesn't notice. But really..We NEVER order from them, he only browses! It drives me nuts! Well....not too nuts, but you know what I mean

For those who haven't married yet...maybe you could have a box of his funky/out of style/stinky/wierd stuff "GET LOST IN THE MOVE".

    It's logical.  It COULD happen.

My wittle devil horns are poking out of my blonde hair now!!! hee hee!

Hmmm I did something really bad that I am guilty of..

When my FI moved home from University in Texas I found his camera he used all the time down there - me hating pretty much every single person in the pictures...just threw away the camera...(a new digital one too) sigh. horrible I know. but yet he has never mentioned it that he lost it...nothing! :)

He is a golfer, and his parents are avid collectors of golf 'memoribelia' his old room at his parents house was filled with golf stuff that he was going to be moving into our house that we bought...while I was packing up some boxes in his room one day, as well as throwing out garbage...I threw out a BUNCH of his horrible horrible golf stuff his parents and he have collected throughout the years.

Wow I sounds like a horrible person ha ha. but believe me...he wouldn't even miss anything if it was gone. he is a pack rat!
