My husband is out of town for 3 weeks and I just started watching all the True Blood episodes from season 1 on HBO GO. I’m now in the middle of season 5.. it’s only taken me less than 2 weeks to watch this many.. I think I may be obsessed!

I still think season 1 is my fave, but I still have to watch the rest.   I 100% agree with you.. Bill Compton can glamor me all he wants!

I think it went off the deep end last season.  Last season and this one are so bizarre.

They’re barely following the books anymore from what I can tell (the books are entertaining enough but even some of them are forgetful sometimes because there’s so many…I find they blend together)

So I’ve been pretty disappointed recently.  Season 1 was the only one that really followed the book well.  They’ve just gotten further and further away as it’s gone on from Season 1.

And I’m NOT a Bill Compton fan Smile

@MrsPaperFlowers Do you have HBO? if so, you can watch them all online at hbogo.com for free.  If not, I think Netflix may have them, but not sure.

Eric all the way!!! The current season is much better than the past two, IMO. The books get bad, too, once you get to like 12 or 13.

@MrsPaperFlowers:  Love it.  I’m completely up to date so I won’t ruin things for you.  It does hit a snag or two where things get REALLY weird, I think that’s season 3 but I can’t remember for sure.  Stick with it, it’s great!

@MrsPaperFlowers We have DirecTV too.  I think you just have to create an account on HBOGo and give them your DirecTv subscriber number or something, then you can watch any HBO series & movies whenever you want online!

While I agree some of the story lines have gotten crazy, especially last season..I still love it.

I’ve read all the books but the last one and they’re entertaining too. After the first season I think the show starts to quickly get away from the plot lines in the books and each season took on more a life of its own.

@kes18:  agreed. I never liked Bill in the show and I found it weird how she developed the storyline in the books- it came out of nowhere (hopefully you know the starting point that I am talking about, I don’t want to post any spoilers!).

@kes18:  Orgy season was also weird. I can’t remember which one it was but it was all just about sex. Uh, okay..

I am still entertained by this season but I don’t know why. Maybe just because I get to watch Eric for an hour a week. 🙂 Also last episode had me bawling like a baby.

@MrsPaperFlowers:  Yeah Bill was good in Season 1 but mostly I find him to be a big dumbass.  ESPECIALLY in the TV show!!  He’s worse on TV than in the books.  Eric is a much more interesting character IMO and way hotter once they cut his hair on the show.

I don’t know, there are so many books (like 11 or more now) which is why I think they blend together.  But I know they’ve completely cut out new characters and they’ve just left the books completely by now.

I’d be okay with leaving the books if they had better storylines…but I thought last season was TERRIBLE story-wise.

@kes18:  TrueBlood & Dexter have well and truly jumped the shark I’m afraid to say 🙁

I used to love both but now I struggle through them.
