I have no advice but feel your pain! My hair is the thinnest I’ve ever seen,

I have thin hair. A lot of ideas I had just didn’t work because of this.  I however wore a feather fascinator in my hair. It allowed for the updo to look like more hair was involved. I have shoulder length hair. It was pulled back and down to one side with a side swept bang.

EDIT: I’ll put the pics in even though it sounds like you’re looking for something else.

I have very very thin hair and very flat hair.  I can poof it up, but it will fall fairly quickly.  Bumpit?  Yeah right, it shows right through my hair.  So I feel your pain.   I have started growing my hair longer so I’ll have more options and have also started using Bosley shampoo and conditioner and I think it has really helped thicken my hair.  I plan on buying rows of human hair (they clip in with tiny mini clips) to add fullness.  These can be colored, cut, curled, teased, etc just like real hair and I’m hoping they will give me an extra boost.

I am undecided on an up do, or half up/half down.  Either way there will need to be lots of teasing and hairspray!  I am wearing a long veil for the ceremony and will be wearing some flowers in my hair as well.  I am considering switching into a birdcage veil for the ceremony to keep my hair looking good.  Here’s to hoping!  🙂  I think you can definitely do an up do with volume on top, and it would look elegant and great!

I understand, my hair is like yours but might have a bit more of a curl to it.  And I know what you mean about fine v. thin hair too.  A lot of hairdressers don’t even understand the difference.  Sharon Stone has fine hair, so you could look at pics of her for inspiration… but I think she usually keeps it very short.  Look for a hairdresser for your wedding day that either has fine hair herself, or who you are confident understands fine hair.

I have very thin and fine hair. My ponytail thickness is similar to yours. I knew I wanted it up and I grew and worked on it until it was a bit past my shoulders. This is what my hair looked like on my wedding day. I was in love and almost cried when I had to take it down.

I just saw your post. Sorry. = (

My hair was just past my shoulders. They teased it to death to get the height on top and then drew the rest back and curled it. With the hair spray they added, my hair wasn’t going anywhere! I felt very secure and don’t think my hair ever looked that good in my life!

Where my hair was so fine, I knew it would fall under it’s own weight if I left it down and curled it.  I also wanted it out of my face and didn’t need “touch ups” to keep it in place.
