Check Craigslist or local area colleges. Where are you getting married? SUNY Purchase and Manhattanville Colleges are in Westchester and may have student musicians willing to play for cheap.
We actually managed to get someone from the band on post to agree to play for us. Thanks for the good ideas though.

Does anyone know of someplace I can find some inexpensive ceremony musicians? We love that we have a pipe organ for the ceremony, but most of our favorite wedding-y songs are usually performed with trumpets too. We did not really budget for the trumpeters though. Initially we thought that a friend would be able to play for us, but he will not be able to make it out to our wedding. We're stumped.
