Hey. I guess technically I am not a Mid-Mo bride. I am getting married in Columbus, Ohio but recently moved out here to Missouri. Out here I am looking for dresses and decoration stuff but most of the major stuff has been in Ohio.
awesome, you're mid mo if you're living here! where are you living while you are here and are you planning on staying or are you moving back once you get married?
i am living in Columbia while my fiance goes to school at UM. We will be here for at least another 2 years and who knows after that. i have a lot of family in ohio but don't mind moving around too much.

I live in Jefferson City and i'm getting married at the Summit Lake Winery in Holts Summit. I'm definitely doing all my planning here, although every vendor i want seems to be in Columbia. lol
daniellemybelle.. is it weird that i'm a little envious of where you are getting married? i'm almost scarily obsessed with paramore (according to FI) and thats their home town! lol
KBsquared, that's not weird, but its funny! I was friends with a girl in high school who was Hayley's (is that how you spell her name?) best friend, and I've gotten my hair done by someone that's done her hair, and I probably have several other unknown connections to that band! Franklin is an awesome place.

@KBsquared, We are actually getting married in Taos at St. Francis Xavier. Reception will be at Braykleys Hall. My fiance is from there and wanted to use his church and I agreed!
@ashroehrs, oh wow thats awesome. i like that church... have you gone for a mass? i've never been out to that hall but it looked good online. Are you using any more vendors from up here?
I actually have. I am actually getting ready to complete the RCIA process so am pretty excited to become catholic and part of the church! Braykleys seems like it will be very good, it's a newer building, very big and since it's kind of plain and open I see a lot of potential for something nice :) We are having Lutz BBQ cater- which I actually haven't ate there but my fiance loves it!! I met our DJ at the bridal show that they had inside the Y. We are using Craig Maxey from MyDjKj, he seems pretty cool. Other than that, not really (not that I can think of anyway) Our photographer is from Columbia (Avia photography), we're renting tables from Columbia (A-1 party rentals), They provide chairs, we bought linens (tablecloths, chair covers, sashes and napkins from efavormart.com. Who all are you using?
Hello everyone! I just joined Weddingbee after discovering there was a Jefferson City board. How exciting!
We just set our date this past week, getting married August 7th at Zion Historic Chapel in Jefferson City. Looking forward to sharing ideas with you ladies!
@ashroehrs: Congrats on converting! I still need to book our dj. we know who we want to use but its hard to get the money together AND pay bills AND raise my daughter. We're using Dacia Miller for our photographer, we're getting married at the Summit Lake Winery and catering thru them and we are using Donitas Cakes and Catering for our cakes.. i got a damn good deal because i wanted really simple undecorated cakes.
