As some of you already know, my e-ring was my grandmother’s. The setting is still exactly the same as it was in the early 50s, however, I do not have her wedding band. I am struggling a little bit to find a good match for the e-ring. I think I like the look of a solitaire enhancer since the band is simple.
If you have any suggestions, please share! I have NO idea what to be looking for.
This is what we looked at on Friday. This is the solitaire enhancer I liked…

I actually like what you picked out.

@KatyElle: Thanks! I guess the thing that spooked me was finding out that they would have to solder them together…

i like this enhancer. i think your ring could go with a lot of bands.
have you tried on a plain band or eternity band that is the same width as your ering band? keep in mind that eternity bands come in different styles: prong set, channel set, bezel set, semi-bezel.

I agree! I like what you picked out. It has an antique look to it which is appropriate because of the history behind the ring! 🙂

I really like what you picked out too!

@LizLemon: Oh really? Why would they have to be soldered?

Thanks everyone! I feel more confident about that style now.
@KatyElle: Honestly, I don’t know. The sales associate told me that I would have to get it dipped and then sent off the be soldered together before the wedding because the band is thicker than the enhancer is meant for. Part of me thinks she was just trying to get me to spend more money, but who knows? I just felt a little uncomfortable with the idea of soldering something older with something new. Like it would ruin the history or something.

@LizLemon: Soldering it might actually be safer for your ring. This would go for many bands you would wear next to it.
The enhancer will rub and scratch your ring if not soldered so your ring will be protected from that. You can always unsolder them, too!
Oh, and I think the enhancer looks great!

I like the one you picked, it’s very vintagey and goes well with your e-ring.
