I am trying desperately to find breidesmaids dresses for my 5 girls.  2 are in college, 2 in highschool, and one is living on her own at 18 working at McDonald's.  They want dresses that won't break the bank.  I haven't decided yet if I want them to wear black or red.  I just know I want them to wear something they'll love and something they don't have to spend a ton of money on.

What if you pick black dresses and they can choose their own.  If you ask for black strapless that are new length, for example, they'll all pick a dress they like within their budget but there would still be consistency.

Or wait until after prom time, (Junish, i think) then you can check out local department stores for their sales.

    Good luck.

i second the target suggestion. my girls' dresses are from etsy.com. they're custom-made according to each girls measurements (meaning no alterations and a perfect fit!), and they only cost $62! plus... they'll actually wear these dresses again.

If you try Macy's, Bergner's, VonMaur after season sales (like if you wedding is next winter, try going in March or April of this winter) and they usually have pretty good sales! I have a friend that got all her girl's dresses from target.com and they were incredibly cute!

I got mine at J.Crew for under 80.00 dollars a dress. I waited until the color/dress I wanted went on sale, called J.Crew directly, explained that it was for a wedding and I may need to exchange or return them, asked for free shipping and also one of my bridesmaids is a teacher and the other a student so they took off an additional 15% per dress. I ordered a couple extras for trying on purposes and was able to return the ones I didn't need. It worked out great!
