@Merelymere:  I am extremely fair skinned with pale legs too.  I wore a dress out this summer and had a random person comment on how pale I was.  He basically asked me if this was the first time I ever stepped outside.  I told him I like my skin to be cancer free.  I embrace my paleness.  πŸ˜› Anyways, now I’m digressing.

You could find long, flowly tops to match leggings!  I have such a cute dressy top from Target, but now sure I’d find it online.  I’ll see what I can come up with for you.

Here are a few ideas from Target.  I’m going to search Kohl’s too.

I know it says junior, but I always get an XL and everything fits pretty good!  I’m 5’6″ at around 185lbs.

ETA: And if anything – it’s just a general idea of what to look for to match with leggings!

@Merelymere:  You should be fine!  I have pretty large thighs too and they’re mostly covered. Throw on a pair of heels to make your legs look longer and you’re golden.

I also vote to just embrace the paleness. I’m an Irish office worker, so you can imagine what my legs look like.

But I was going to suggest a sweater dress if yiu really want to keep the tights. I think the third link down is a good example and perfect for a fall shower.  I also have a purple empire waist v neck dress (bought at h&m years ago so don’t have a link) that I always wear with black leggings. It’s one of those ones that seemed decent in the store, but made it home and was waaaaay shorter than I thought.  But I like that it’s a colour and still goes with black.

I’m plus sized and I have that same kimono dress from Target. I wear it with black leggings and heels and dress it up with great hair, make up , jewelry and a cute bag.  I think it’s cute and more importantly, my FI says I look hot dressed in it.  Good luck πŸ™‚

Kiyonna.com and Igigi.com both have beautiful options. Skip the leggings for parties.

Last year I bought a couple of sweater dresses one from Macy’s and one from Ross and wore them with tights and boots. One had a belt which actually was super flattering.  I thought I looked super cute πŸ™‚
