I tried it, loved it, and did get pregnant 🙂 I went about twice a week and he targeted areas around the uterus mostly. I shouldn’t say that i think acu was the sole reason we got pregnant, as we were also using an RE and drugs. I found it super relaxing and loved going, and I’d do it again when we decide to try for #2. 🙂

I do think it’s super relaxing and certainly does something for my energy flow, but I found it didn’t actually help what I was hoping it would treat (migraines). So while I’d consider getting acupuncture for TTC, I wouldn’t expect results beyond increased mental well-being personally.

@AlmostHisWife:  We had been actively TTC for about 7 months before trying it. I started going for acu twice a week in Jan of this year, and got pregnant in March. 🙂 I agree with the PP though, I think it did a ton for my mental well being and likely did help with the TTC process, but I’m not sure that the acu alone would have done it for us. I actually plan on going back in another week and doing two sessions weekly leading up to labour, as i’ve heard it really helps!

I did accupuncture leading up to my IVF cycle last year and I did get pregnant and have a son. So I don’t know if it worked, but I guess it certainly didn’t hurt! I would do it again if we undergo IVF again.

Yes, I started accupuncture concurrent to coming off the pill after being on hormonal bc for over a decade. I wanted to increase my fertility if possible. I was charting and ovulated the first cycle off the pill, and had regular 26 days cycles after that. I conceived our first cycle TTC.

It doesn’t hurt and it’s relaxing, so why not. 🙂

I’ve done accupuncture for other ailments, and found it didn’t help. I’m also not terribly crazy about it in general. I’ll stick to chiro and massage. My BFF did a year of accupuncture while TTC (among many other aids) and sadly did not conceive.
