I’ve read conflicting things about whether or not women are more fertile after a miscarriage or pregnancy loss. Some folks seem to say that you’re more likely to get pregnant again in the next cycle or two – others say that’s just a myth. I’m curious about other people’s experiences! If you started TTC again right away, how many cycles did it take you to get knocked up again?

Took us 8 months after the m/c.

we’re on month 8, so i’m very hopeful that this month is our month! it only took us 2 cycles to get pregnant the first time (ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks), so definitely very frustrating waiting this long. but it’ll happen again and we’ll get our rainbow babies soon!! =)

I had a miscarriage the week before Christmas. My ob said we could start trying again after my next period. Got my period in January but didn’t ovulate according to my OPK. I did ovulate in February, but got my period 2 weeks ago. 🙁 We will keep trying!

Got my first BFP on my 4th cycle – ended in a MC at 6 weeks. skipped a cycle per doctor’s instructions, then got a BFP on my 3rd cycle and am now 20 weeks along.
For me, after the MC and the 2nd cycle afterwards, I brought up my short LP to my OB. He put me on oral progesterone starting the day after a +OPK and I was pregnant that cycle.

Got pregnant on the second cycle of TTC, which ended in MC at 10 weeks. My period took 6 weeks to return to normal, although we were TTC during this time, just in case I ovulated. I got pregnant again on the 4th cycle and now have an adorable 4 month old son.

I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks last May. I had chemical pregnancies/early losses in July and August and then got pregnant in September and am now 29 weeks.

KatieBklyn: You ARE more fertile after birth or a miscarriage because the cervix is slightly more open which allows more sperm to enter and also there can me left over hormones which aid an embryo to implant more firmly. I had a m/c back in october and was pregnant 2 weeks later. This pregnancy also resulted in m/c but it was nothing to do with the last one. This was a late one which was probably something to do with me or genetic problems x
