TTC Early Symptoms

I’m currently 7 weeks, and can understand where you’re coming from as I was sure I was experiencing early symptoms and waiting for a BFP felt overwhelming at times.

I had been charting to try ti pin-point fertile days, but never used an OPK, so I’m not 100 percent certain of my exact ovulation date.

DH and I did the deed a few days prior to my (estimated) ovulation, the day before (25th July), and the day of (26th July).  On the day after ovulation, I felt some funny cramps and a bloating sensation in my tummy.  I chalked that up to over-analysis, but also made note that it was a really unusual feeling for me.

Over the next week, I continued to have some funny cramps, and also had tingling nipples. My nipples were very tender to the touch, almost felt that they were rubbing against my bra and radiating through my bra a few times, and this was something different from the pre-period “sore boobs” feeling I sometimes get, which typically doesn’t affect my nipples much.

On August 3, I had implantation bleeding (some light purple/brown spotting with some clear gel).  It was only a few drops – I could have easily missed it.  On that day, I competed in a half-marathon, and I was a little bit afraid that my racing could affect the possibility of implation, but at the same time, I didn’t want to put life on hold during TTC.

I used two First Response Early result tests over the next few days and had a negative result both times.  I continued to have funny cramps in my tummy (similar to pre-period cramps, but not as sharp, more of a dull cramping).  I also continued to have tender nipples off and on. I really felt convinced I was pregnant, but also worried I might be delusional.

On August 8 (the day my period was due), I had a BFP with a regular (non early response) test.

No early symptoms, just a triphasic temp pattern which clued me in.

UKbee:  I was due for AF on a Friday. The week before, I had started seeing spots and almost fainted from dizziness at work. I passed it off because I was low on Vitamin D nad had high blood pressure, so I figured that was what it was. Took a blye dye test on Sunday, and it was negative (don’t take a blue dye test). I had been feeling tired and my lips were more chapped than normal, but otherwise I felt fine. I decided to test on Wednesday because I just felt different, and I got a BFP on my FRER.

UKbee:  I was about 6DPO and I just started to feel soooooo exhausted…I ended up taking a day off work right after that, it was also in conjunction with having to pee like a racehorse ALL the time. I have a small bladder normall but this was eyebrow raising even for me. I started having some odd …well….it wasnt regular pms stuff… but very mild cramping but it wasnt the same….there were a few odd sensations that I can only descrobe as pulling or stretching? very mild but I could tell something was going on….wasnt sure if it was my mind or just pms. So ya my early symptoms were within a week!

AF was due on 10DPO but I ended up POAS for fun on 9DPO to get rid of my one clear blue test (because all the bee’s told be about the false results they can give) and sure enough there was a super squinter……so I immediatly drank a bunch of water and used a FRER and got a faint positive. I tested again the next day and got all positives.

UKbee:  definatly….. for me I didnt have many cycles to compare as we got pg after my first cycle off the pill lol. I started charting as soon as I went off to see if I could figure out my cycles etc…and of course my first cycle ended up being like 40 days long….I thought we were ging to be in for a loooooong TTC. Then when I finally got AF I just said ok….I have no idea whats going to  happen this month so we’re going ot start BD every second day until I get my temp shift. I ended up O on CD19 which wasnt too bad and we had been BD right up until…so I guess that did it lol.

I knew the “pms” stuff was not what it usually was but I didnt know if that was just how things were ….now that I was off the pill…they say cramps etc usually change (intensity and all that stuff). But the exhaustion and peeing was like…ok….what the hell is going on lol

I had very vivid dreams, a stuffy nose (but felt different than a cold), and my breast felt fuller (different from PMS – until you experience it, it’s hard to explain). Also my cervical mucous didn’t dry up like it usually does before AF. Oh and I had some implantation bleeding at 6dpo, but only upon an internal check, nothing on the paper.

We TTC for 14 months before my BFP. In all those months I “thought” I had symptoms, but in retrospect they were all PMS symptoms that I tried to attribute to pregnancy. TRY not to drive yourself crazy. I know it’s easier said than done…

I am only 4w1d, but no major exhaustion or nausea yet.

I did not have any early symptoms.  I think around 6 weeks I had 2 days where I felt nauseous in the AM and one day that I was exhausted.  But those didn’t stick and I felt normal after that.  Until about 8 weeks when the MS and fatigue kicked in full time until 16 weeks.

Absolutely no noticeable symptoms before that, but I also wasn’t symptom-spotting either.

UKbee:  I do think symptoms could be present even as early as a week after conception.  For me, it was cramping (dull ache) and super tender nipples (something I’d never really had before).

UKbee:  I was 5 days late for AF, but I was still convinced I wasn’t pregnant. Since starting TTC, my cycles were all over the place. One month I was 8 days late for no reason. Looking back, my biggest symptom was light spotting around the time my period was due. Also, I was very nauseous for about 3 days before I finally decided to take a test.
