@Sarahupup:  I’ve read that the best time to test for the LH surge is in the afternoon. I know some tests say different, but I’m just throwing that out there since you’re having trouble. My line is darker in the afternoon.

@Sarahupup:  The month I got my bfp I didn’t get a positive ovulation test… and I was testing up to three times a day!  But, I knew I ovulated because I chart my basal body temperature, so I could relax knowing that the opks were wrong.  I would highly recommend charting!

@Sarahupup:  With a 25 day cycle it’s also possible that you ovulated earlier… Sorry I’m not much help, temping is a good way to confirm ovulation if you have a short surge. It’s possible you had a very short surge the morning of cd22 that didn’t show up on tests, it’s also possible you haven’t ovulated yet.

You might still be gearing up to ovulate!  If I were you, I’d continue using the OPKs and BDing, just in case.

@Sarahupup:  how long are your cycles typically?  Maybe you missed it and it happened before CD 19.  I’ve just starting using OPKs this cycle too!  I’m a few months away from TTC, but want to see if I can get a handle on things before trying.  I tried testing OPKs before fertility friend said to start, because i really don’t want to miss it.  I’m using internet cheapies, so I have like 100.

maybe it’s the time?  I have been doing mine at 6 am, and about 5pm.  Because, serious question, how can people do these at work?  Lol, it would be to weird if I was in the bathroom for 6 or 7 minutes.

@Sarahupup:  A lot of people ovulate the day after their CM turns from watery/EWCM to dry. The last wet day is called the “peak day” and ovulation can happen 24-48 hours after this. So if it’s still watery, I would keep BD’ing! Your body might still be gearing up for it to happen.

@GrannyPantiesRock:  but aren’t you suppose to leave it flat for 5 minutes?  Either way, I can’t just chill in the bathroom (public school…hallway bathroom!) for 5 minutes, a little awkward.

@PinkTeapot:  this is great to know!  🙂

@Ice_cream:  Maybe hide it in a ziploc bad and stick it between pages of a book. Be crafty!!

A positive test means you should ovulate 24-48 hours later. Unless you’re like me and have had 3 positive opks in my currently 94 day cycle that def did not result in ovulation lol

@Sarahupup:  just has blood work done and an internal ultrasound last week, my Ob was on vacation last week so hoping to hear back from him any day now- although he was less than enthused when I was there saying ” a woman could not have a period for a year and it’s not that big a deal” soooo not super confident that I’ll be with him for much longer
