I was on the pill for over 12 years and while on it got AF every 28 days. Now that we have been TTC for the last 7 months since I have been off the pill – my cycle has lasted anywhere from 29-37 days – with the last 3 months being 35-37 days. As long as I am getting my AF – is it safe to assume I am ovulating?
Sorry – I should probably know more about this

Sorry but no, it’s not safe to assume that you are ovulating…only temping would “confirm” that (if done under the correct conditions) Also, ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) wil help you determine when you O has well!

It isn’t safe to assume that. I just got off the pill and I did not ovulate this cycle. I know this because I temped. I would highly recommend temping especially since you’ve been TTC for 7 months. It’s a great way to find out if your ovulating, and that your LP is long enough to sustain a pregnancy, and that you are BDing at the correct times during your fertile window.
