Can't confirm or deny. I have been pregnant three times and never heard that one. I'm now curious too!
I've never heard that either... I wonder if it's something you'd just notice when you go {if so, then I haven't noticed this!} or if you'd have t make a point of getting a little closer and smelling! :S
Lol! HMMMM...I am a nurse and honestly (and gross), I've smelled urine in a hundred different scents, but never cereal like and I use to work in OB/GYN. If I was checking symptoms for pregnancy, that is one I would throw aside. Toilet cleaners and tabs can also directly affect the scent of waste in the toilet and I can't imagine what your friend was doing to think this. :)
Haha, well thanks girls. I did think it was kind of weird, but WTH do I know... Chances are, she has likely, ahem, "experienced this" for some other reason and directly related the two in theory only.
I will definitely flush that "symptom" down the drain - no pun intended.
Okay, I have never been pregnant, but I do notice that Cheerios do make my pee smell. Maybe your friend ate a lot of Cheerios while she was pregnant? Maybe her sense of smell was just a little stronger while pregnant?
i didnt really pay THAT much attention. i did notice i couldnt (and still cant) eat certain foods. my beautiful milek loving daughter has made me lactose intollerant...i think i would have prefered more stretch marks lol
This sounds kind of weird but I swear mine smiles like onions now that I'm pregnant! lol
Urine does smell different when you are pregnant. I think of it as having an amniotic fluid smell. If you've smelled it you would know it.
It really bugged me by the end, but it went away pretty much instantly after delivery.

Alrighty Bees, I'm sure some will think I'm waaaay crossing the line here but I have a TTC/pregnancy symptom/TMI question for all of you pregnant or current moms out there:
My friend told me that a pregnancy symptom is your pee smelling like cereal, eg - cheerios. I am not kidding, and this is no joke, stop laughing! According to her, your urine will change "smells" when you are pregnant.
Can anyone confirm or deny?
