@Adams_bee:  Hello! I am a fellow PCOS-er. I have a success story for you. 🙂

We were ttc for 5 cycles and, after taking my bbt and keeping track of my irregular periods, I suspected I was not ovulating. Turns out I was right. I have a wonderful doctor- he prescribed 100mg of Clomid on days 4-8, and I became pregnant on our first cycle. I was shocked, to say the least.

The truth is, everyone is different and no one knows what each couple’s fertility journey will be like.

I had actually read many many horror stories andwas convinced it would take me forever to get pregnant.

I spent hours online trying to quantify my chances based on the information I found on fertility forums and percentage charts.

You can’t stop yourself from keeping hope in your heart…don’t fight it. Try to take it day by day.

I wish you luck, I hope the Clomid works for you the way it did for me! FX for you. 🙂

I have taken clomid 3 times, each time with the HCG trigger shot and it hasnt worked for us. Frown We have been trying for 2years, without doing anything other than having sex every 2-3days (this is what was reccommended by our local GP before finding out I wasnt ovulating) I have PCOS and have known this since I was 17 (now 23) so I was always doubtful on getting pregnant easily. We have taken a break for a few months as I mentally and physically couldnt take it anymore, the constant let down and penciled in sex life along with being used as a pin cushion and all the internal ultrasounds got to me but we are hoping to start again very soon so fingers crossed.

Im sorry, this probably wasnt what your wanting to hear. I know because we all want to hear its an easy cure to our problem. Dont let it get you down, I know of a few girls that got pregnant first cycle with clomid. You need to go in thinking and feeling positive, it will happen!! Smile

@Adams_bee:  sorry i wasnt clear. we took the break because i needed it but we will still do 6rounds. we are hoping to start another round of clomid in the next month. i only take 50mg, i dont think it will be upped cause i ovulate with that. i have no idea why its not working since hubbys been given the all clear and my only apparent issue is not ovulating which clomid fixes. im totally rambaling now lol. i hope it all makes sense. good luck with it! Smile

I took clomid for the first time this cycle and I got my BFP!!  We tried for 5 looong cycles before I was diagnosed with PCOS.  I took it from CD5-9 at 50mg and to be honest I am still shocked that it actually worked the first time.  My ob.gyn fully warned me that most people don’t get pregnant the first round and it usually works best at 100mg. Keeping my FX that your first round will be your BFP!!

I tried to concieve for several years ( I have PCOS and endometriosis) and I took Clomid many times, along with Metformin. I always responded very well and I always took it days 3-7 and usually ovulated day 14 or 15. I did get pregnant but had 2 early miscarriages, although I had other issues that likely contributed to that, it’s not a reflection on the Clomid. I always had a very positive response!

@Adams_bee:  I had a hysterectomy in August, so I am no longer TTC. I think we are going to remain childfree sadly, although we may decide to adopt.

@Adams_bee:  I have thought about it but the FS hasnt mentioned it. I think I will ask about it when we start again. Another thing I just recalled was the follie was always a bit late on maturing (maybe CD19ish it was ready by) the FS never seemed to fased but did mention it was abit later than expected and they also had to use the trigger shot. I take clomid days 3-7. I have ovulated a few times on my own but its always around CD33 and I have a 47-48day cycle. Undecided
