Well I just had my HSG done yesterday (that was not very much fun) but the good news is all the tubes are clear. My husband is having his SA this weekend then hopefully (his test results are good) after an aygestin induced period I will be starting my first round of monitored clomid. I am excited and nervous all at the same time – we have been TTC for a year. About 6 months in my periods started getting super wonky and after months of testing I was diagnosed with PCOS.
Any other ladies have monitored clomid rounds – how did that work out for you? Just want to hear some other people’s experiences.

I’m just starting an unmonitored Letrozole cycle, but commenting to follow. Good luck! Excited to hear how things go! 🙂

I was in the same situation (weird periods after 6 months, PCOS diagnosis, aygestin-induced period, monitored Clomid cycle) and I got pregnant on my first try with Clomid. Good luck!

HughJazz: Did they give you the trigger shot during your cycle?

krstino1012: I’m on my second cycle with clomid and trigger shot. First cycle I had no major side effects from the clomid but today (first day taking clomid again) I’ve felt sick. I did find there was a lack of cm but we just powered through (heard neg things about preseed). Re the trigger, it was a bit of a disaster last month as there were performance issues. It can be a lot of pressure so we’re going to try to make it more fun instead of a chore this month!

krstino1012: I got pregnant on my first unmonitored Clomid cycle. I never thought it would happen and was beyond shocked when it did. Good luck to you!

krstino1012: no trigger shot. I had an ultrasound around cd14 to check follicles, and then a blood test around cd21 or so to confirm ovulation. My blood test results only showed a “weak ovulation” so they were surprised when my tests were positive. FWIW I had no side effects from the Clomid whatsoever. GL!
