My bridesmaids made some lovely flower arrangements for my bridal shower including hydrangea, roses, peonies, and tulips.  One thing I've noticed now that it's been a few days is that the tulips are sticking a few inches higher than the other flowers.  Apparently tulips continue to grow even after they've been cut!  I just thought I'd warn any DIY centerpiece brides out there who may be using tulips.  If you are doing your arrangements a couple days early, plan for the tulip stems to continue getting longer!
