I need help. I said yes to the Lazaro 3108, which is a huge tulle ball gown. Now, I’d like to lose weight before the wedding.
I know they can’t stitch the tulle back together to take the skirt in if I lose weight. Is taking in the skirt possible? I’m worried about losing too much weight, but I want to look and feel my best on wedding day!

@mrsem2bee: How much weight are you thinking of losing? If it’s not too much, I imagine you’ll be just fine with alterations! Beautiful dress, btw!

I had a tulle dress and lost over 20 pounds after buying it big off the rack. I’m not entirely sure what the seamstress had to do to the skirt (the bodice had to be taken in quite a bit) but the skirt still looks great!

@MrsBeck: Oh good. I’ve lost ten pounds so far and am aiming for another twenty to thirty. Hopefully they’ll be able to take in my dress too!

Hi! I am wearing the same dress as you are for my wedding! I also am a bride on a weightloss mission! I have lost 30 lbs a since purchasing my dress 🙂 Upon buying the gown, I mentioned that I will be dropping pounds and asked if there were resizing restrictions with this gown. The boutique informed me that the gown can be resized 3 bridal sizes without issue! Hope this helps!
i go in for my first alteration (since losing my weight) July 2 and will let you know if there are any issues!
good luck with your weight loss!
