When I tried on the sample of my dress in the salon, I was thinking when I got it I would have a seamstress remove the tulle flower on the side and instead place a brooch. The flower in the salon looked kind of droopy and sad, and I liked the idea of the brooch to keep and possibly pass down, etc.
When I actually got the dress though, the flower looked way better than the sample – see below.
Should I keep the tulle flower, or get a brooch? Someone pointed out to me that added sparkle down there might take the focus off my face, and I should instead focus on a pretty necklace/earrings or hairpiece. On the other hand, the brooch could make the dress look a little more sleek.
(Please ignore the bouquet – I’m not sure I’ll be using that one, probably not – thinking fresh calla lilies instead)
