My fiance and I went to Mexico this past August. We visited most of the cities along the Carribean sea and fell in love with Tulum. I would love to get married in Majahual but I think it may be too far for most of our families to drive. We spent a day in Tulum so we are familiar with the layout of the town and several of the restaurants. Are there any Bees who got married in Tulum? We would like to do a mayan or spiritual ceremony as I dont really want to deal with getting blood tests and sending and translating documents (we will just sign the papers at the courthouse afterwards). We are not looking for a super resorty type of place like Dreams Tulum. Does anyone have expereince with any hotels, restaurants or wedding planners in the the area? Thanks in advance!

@has31: Hi! I’ve been going to Tulum for years and am getting married at La Zebra in February. They are awesome! Highly recommend. I’m using the planners at Destination Weddings Tulum and they are also great! Two french ladies, they speak great English.

@mmcdebbie: Hi! I actually posted another thread about destination weddings. My concern is the required 4 night stay. In all the hotels I have contacted that is required. I wanted to give my guests the option to pick their own lodging. How big is your wedding and how are dealing with the lodging aspect? Is this a requirement at La Zebra too?
We have plans to go back to Tulum before the wedding and probably before we really decide on where to hold it. I will definitly check out La Zebra. Their website looks great and it looks like they throw a great party.
