I have a pretty thick tungsten wedding band and I ADORE it! The weight is amazing and I never worry about banging it into anything because I know it will be fine. 🙂

Not so sure I’d get one plated, with my particular body chemistry plating wears off in 8-12 months, and wit plating the platinum will fall/chip/scratch off over time and get lost, whereas with an actual solid platinum band  you don’t lose metal and just need it polished to get shiny again. I feel part of the appeal to Tungsten is the low/no maintenance and plating sounds like that takes away from it, not to mention I don’t know who would re-plate it for you every year to keep it looking good?

Here’s my Tungsten band from JVL with my ering. (I only wear it by itself for active things though.)

I wear a tungsten 2mm spacer between my platinum e-ring and wedding band, and it looks fine.  I actually have two, one in a silver tone to match the platinum and one in a warm rosey gold color for when I want to mix it up.  They’ve proven quite durable.

We decided on matching tungsten bands, and I think mine is gorgeous. It’s a little thicker/wider than I originally wanted, but I figured that I could just move my ering to my right hand if they stack too high for me.

I like tungsten but being female I tend to bloat, and with my weight loss I need to get my ring resized once or twice a year. Tungsten can’t be resized and if you get it from a jeweler it can be really expensive. I’d go with palladium or something similar instead, at least that can be altered.

We are planning matching Tungsten bands like this. I am going to fit the ring to my summer fingers(puffier) and then if needed get a thin eternity band to help keep it on. My e ring is a heirloom cluster ring so I’m moving it to my right hand! I am totally excited to get our bands soon!!!
