So I'm on a plane right now, flying from Los Angeles to Minnesota to visit my sister and nephew! I have been flying my whole life (first flight at 4 months from London to LA!) and never minded it. I've never once been scared to be on a plane

But right now we are going through some crazy intense turbulence and it is freaking me out!!

I'm flying alone so I just needed someone to let my fears out too!

You will be okay!  Just close your eyes and breathe!

BTW, what airline are you flying that gave you internet?  That's awesome!

I'm on Delta (hate them but very few airlines fly into Minneapolis/St. Paul) and they have wireless for $10 a flight.

I've flown Jet Blue before and their wifi is free! I think Virgin America has free internet, too.

There are really crazy weather patterns right now, that is all it is.  Just take a breath and keep surfing it will keep your mind busy.  Have fun on your trip!

aww, don't worry! It will be fine :) I've had that happen to me before. It was particularly scary for me because the weather seemed so nice! I was also alone which made it worse. A few times the plane seemed to "drop" quickly enough to get those butterflies in my stomach and at one point I grabbed onto the armrest by reflex because of the jolting and "dropping" sensation. Turns out there were some wind gusts or something that the pilot of my connection flight mentioned (and we actually had less turbulence that flight!). I really wish the pilot of the 1st flight would have gave us the heads up. It just gives me a little reassurance. Hang in there!

    Thank you ladies!

I know that rain/storms are in the forecast for MN so logically I know that is what is causing the shaking and drops, but my irrational side is freaking out!

Look at you way up there! Helloooooo!!! Don't worry hon, turbulence is totally normal and common. You'll be back down on the ground safe and sound in no time! Have a glass of wine in the meantime ;)
