Happy Thanksgiving! Our weekend is shaping up to be fairly busy - friends over to our place Sat, SO's family over on Sunday, out to my sister's on Monday.
I'm looking forward to the food (a little too much) so I'm happy to have to clean and such - hopefully it'll help me burn off the (at least) 5 turkey-related pounds I have resigned myself to gaining!
So glad you posted this - I needed the reminder to take the turkey out of the freezer. :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm looking forward to:
1) Not having to cook (dinner's at FI's uncle's this year)
2) Having the big dinner on Sunday, so that...
3)...FI and I have Monday all to ourselves. We're working different schedules right now, so stat holidays are the only full days we get to spend together
4) PUMPKIN PIE!!!
Yay for turkey...and the long weekend!
I'll be off work in a few hours and headed home to bake a couple of pies for tomorrow :) This year I'm off the hook for the rest though!
No more dreaded in-laws (in case you caught my original post about that!)! Just some good food with good friends and my hubbie-to-be :)
You ladies have a lovely weekend. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
TURKEY!(Or Duck) and PIE!! (I'm most excited for the pie
).
We're packing up everything tonight & first thing tomorrow morning we're travelling 4 hours to go visit my parents & brother for turkey dinner #1, and early Monday we'll be driving 2hours to go see my partner's family for turkey dinner #2.
Then the 'fun' part will be driving 3+hours in the dark in the dead of moose country to get home early enough to pack for a business trip first thing on Tuesday.
I really wanted to have a family dinner up at our house this year, but we're kind of in the middle of renovations, so the house is a mess & our current dinner table (college left overs) is waaaaay too small for even the 4chairs that came with it, so it's probably best that we're going elsewhere, but I'm not looking forward to the hectic weekend (I'd rather just stay home and relax but, oh well).
Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
Happy Turkey-day ladies!!!
I plan on skipping the mashed potatoes, but still loading up with gravy on my turnip. And, if my will power holds, skipping the whipped cream on the pumpkin pie. But everything else is fair game! yummmmmm
Happy Turkey Weekend my fellow canucks!
I was soooo happy to see the rugrats get on the bus today! I unfortunately am working my other job all weekend and finishing up last minute details for the wedding next weekend. We will be having Turkey dinner at my in-laws on Sunday. I really wish I could have it with my family but it just didn't work out this year... maybe next year.
Hope you all enjoy your long weekends! Remember... wear elastic pants! MMMMM pie!
I have been home sick fighting off a nasty flu for 2 days...I really just want to sleep this weekend but we have a wedding both Saturday and Sunday then Monday we have a meeting with our JOP.
Happy turkey day
Yay for Thanksgiving :D
I'm looking forward to not having to host it (thanks FIL's :) and having Monday off with FI :)
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone :)
Happy thanksgiving!!!

Hey Canadian Bee's,
It's almost time to go home on the friday before the thanksgiving long weekend!
What are your plans for the big turkey weekend?
I am off work now and I am going to the grocery store to by all the good stuff, fresh turkey, stuffing and pie (Oh MY!) My family is coming down to our place for thanksgiving this year (as our dog is getting too old for traveling). I am not looking forward to the mess and the cleaning but I sure am looking forward to good company, good food and good wine!!!
What are you looking forward too?
Happy Thanksgiving Canadian Bees!
