I’ve been to St. Martin but I didn’t like it since there wasn’t much to do there.  I was there for 7 days and I was ready to come home after 3 days there.  I would just prolong your stay in Miami or try Turks and Caicos.  Miami is so much fun and there is tons to do.

Our friends honeymooned at a Club Med in Turks & Caicos in October and loved it. He used to work for Club Med so it made T&C more affordable.

Have you priced out resorts for both destinations? Once we got into researching islands in the BVI, we discovered a preference for certain islands or styles of resorts. Maybe that will help you decide??

I have been to turks and caicos and there is not as much to do as other islands such at st. croix or jamaica- mtns, rain forest etc… but the beaches at turks and caicos are AMAZING.  We did some really amazing snorkel and day cruises to private islands/beaches and it was great.  Activity wise though turks is low key.  We stayed next to the club med – staying there may add some activity…

If you want more to do look for an island that is not a ‘desert island’ as there will be more activities/sights on islands that have mountains and rainforest etc…

I’ve been to St Maarten as well, and there’s not a lot going on. Turks and Caicos is an interesting destination. It’s seems as though people either love it or hate it, with not a lot in between. There are some very swanky resorts there!
