My FI asked me last night how he and the groomsmen should go about getting their tuxes, and I was stumped. We have two guys (FI and Best Man) who live in Massachusetts and two who live in California. We are getting married in Pennsylvania.

Should we find a store that has locations all over the country, choose a style, and tell them to get measured/pick up the tuxes in their own states and travel with them to the wedding?

Or should we try to arrange the pickup in the city where our wedding is? (All of us will not be there at the same time at any point until the wedding.)

    Thanks, bees!

I haven't been through this for myself, but my FH was recently in a wedding and here's what they did: The bride and groom picked out tuxes at a place that was local to them/where the wedding was (not a chain or common tux place). We are not in the area, so all the guys had to get measured for a tux. My FH just went to men's warehouse and got measured for free and phoned in his measurements, and gave a credit card number for a deposit. The day before the wedding the guys went to pick up thier tuxes and tried them on before they left the place to make sure they fit. The bride's father (I believe) collected all the tuxes the next day and returned everything to the rental place.

We went to a national chain store, had the GMs measured and place their order at the local store, and then you can have them pick up and drop off at the local store.

We went to Mens Warehouse and told them the colors and styles for the guys. The guys went to there closest Mens Warehouse and got fitted.

Yep we went the Men's Wearhouse route too. At first we thought about trying to buy suits but with GMs all over the country it wasn't practical. Men's Wearhouse has been really easy to work with so far and since we ended up getting so many tuxes we were about to get my FIs and the ringbearers free. The only downer is I feel like they don't have a TON of variety but FI liked the grey one so we went with that.
