Your pictures are great-looks like a lovely time was had by all at your wedding.
You looked beautiful and your groom-so handsome!
The flowers were really unique-I can see why you liked them so much.
Conratulations.
I love the look of your centerpieces (from what I can see). Do you mind sharing what was in them aside from the anemones?
And I sadly have no idea what sign you are making
I'm lovin it.
For a split second I read the title and thought someone was ranting about attending a "twisted" reception , as in like funky monkey gone wrong.
First off you are freaking gorgeous, so its hard to have a bad picture. Your husband looks completely smitten and you have some great friends!
Where was your reception located? It looks very warm and cozy with all the wood detailing!
Beautiful photos @.twist. !
Your photos have solidified my choice of Lougheed. It looks amazing in photos.
Ok I am loving your recaps!! Your dress was gorgeous and your style is so unique! LOVE :)
Aw! Thanks ladies! :)
@Eva Peron: It was at a little historical house in our city called the Lougheed House. The only decorating I did were our centerpieces because the house itself is so friggin beautiful I just didn't think it needed it! We had our ceremony there too and it was so cozy and fit the perfect amount of people in there. Very intimate!
@adnama: I am not sure what that green stuff is that is in the same cup as the anemones. I will ask my flourist though and let you know (if you're that interested)!
And even more sad, I don't know any gang signs and just made that up. LOL.
I love your initmate and joyful wedding and reception! I was so touched that your uncle was able to do such a kindness for your friend by sharing about his father. You don't suck at recaps. You rocked this. I am off to try and find part 2. :)
@.twist.: First: Your wedding was so GORGE! Second: You guys are a HOT couple, and I was totes feeling your bridesmaids' outfits: I loved that they were a bit rocker. Third: With all the red floating around, I'm glad someone thought to throw up the "Bloods" sign, lol. The fact that it was your hubby is just too classic, lol!

Well, after the wedding came the reception. Our reception was a little two parter. Firstly we did a cocktail & hors d'oeuvres reception. LOTS of food. Hearty appies. Everyone ate and got full. We had minimal sit down tables & lots of cocktail tables. People mingled and floated around the room.
I saw my DH's friends talking with my aunts and uncles, my friends chatting up DH's grandparents. It was really wonderful. Found out I'm kind of related to one of our friends, and one of our other friends heard my uncle say some of the nicest things about our friends father who recently passed away. I think it made his night to know that someone thought so highly of his father even before knowing he was related.
This is one of my favourite pictures because of how joyous everyone is. The best man made a speech, and said some hilarious things. My DH and I are total geeks and he made the comment "I'm glad the Hobbit has finally found his Elf". Everyone, EVERYONE, cracked up.
We took a gangster moment and did a few gang signs. If anyone can tell me what sign I'm making, I'll give you a cookie.
Our centerpieces were awesome (although I don't have a great picture of them! :( )
Then after a while of mingling and wine drinking, we cut the cake!
After the first part of the reception, we headed over to a local pub that we like and had a whole new level of fun. I'm going to cut this one short, only because there are so many hilarious photos for Part 2 of the reception.
