I don't get twitter either... i somehow managed to see lindsay lohan's tweets? I don't know how to works...
Hi krissycake! Don't give up just yet. It's easier to "get" Twitter after you start following a few people... and then get a few followers of your own. Mashable has a great Twitter Guidebook on their site that helps make sense of all the RT's, @'s, and #'s. In no time, you'll be Tweeting like a pro!

I didn't really get it at first either. I kind of think of it as facebook status updates on crack. People just post what they're doing when they're doing it all. the. time. I have an account but I don't use it because I just can't imagine people care what I'm doing all the time! "Eating yogurt, granola, and strawberries for breakfast. mm...." "just got done vaccuuming the whole house. clean!" This is my morning.... I'm not cool enough to twitter :) I basically just keep the account around because I read a lot of blogs so sometimes I'll use twitter to talk to the bloggers.
I use twitter to talk to the bloggers, keep up with multiple blogs and to search for giveaways (what- I like free stuff). :o) It took me about a month to figure it out- but now it's kind of like crack.
@AzinAugust - do you use twitter on the computer or on mobile devide (or both)?
@krissycake I use it on both. I have OpenBeak a free twitter application for blackberry. I also use HootSuite for my computer twitterings :o)
Whoo hoo! I am getting the hang of it...was sick all weekend so I had tons of time to geek out, stuck at home.
Krissycake: Everyone uses it differently, I think. Currently, I don't "follow" a ton of people...mostly people I know, some news sites, weddingbee!!!, and some celebrities. It can be fun. I update both online and via my phone with the UberTwitter application.

Hi bees!
I like to think of myself as somewhat technologically inclined, i.e. I have a pretty good grasp of most web applications and programs and pretty much live on the internet, but I have a secret - I don't "get" twitter!
I have had an account for over a year and hardly use it, but it seems everyone and everythig is on twitter these days so I would really like to join the 21st century here; any tips?
Plus, I have an iPhone, any suggestions on what app to use for twittering?
