Okay so I am only having a MOH and then myself walk down the aisle. I have chosen “Butterfly Waltz” for her, and a piano instrumental of “Over the Rainbow”. I need some help in making it work playing two songs only for a short time.
Has anyone else done this?
I would love for us to both walk to Butterfly Waltz, but I’ve always loved Over the Rainbow and The Wizard of Oz. Plus I think our guests might get confused if my MOH walks, and then I suddenly appear straight after with the same music playing.
HELP please 🙂

I’m not familiar with the Butterfiy Waltz, but since it will be short, try working backwards. What’s the iast clear line of the melody? Is that enough time for the MOH? If not, go back two lines. Or just take the last section. Then, for Over The Rainbow, let the pianist play through the first line of lyrics before you start walking and people will realize they recognize the song. That will kind of function as your introduction (like the fanfare-ish intro to the Bridal March). Hope this helps!

@confettiegg2000: Thank you 🙂 Neither songs have any lyrics. I have picked instrumentals as I’m not big on songs with lyrics for the processional and also because I love piano. Basically with “Butterfly Waltz” the music could stop at about 00:32 in or at 1:15. And with Over the Rainbow, the real first height part of the song is either right at the beginning or again at about 00:32.
Do you think waiting 30 seconds or so might be a bit long?

I only have a MOH as well and still trying to decide what I’m gonna do music wise. I was gonna have us both walk down to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel cause I thought it was perfect for my beach wedding. Then I played the song for my FI(he had never heard that version before) and saw the look on his face and realized that wasn’t gonna work(he was cringing as he listened to the song, lol). So now back to square one. I have a couple of christian songs I’m seriously considering.

@nursemel: It’s so difficult isn’t it! I would love to both walk down to the same song, but think people might get confused. And as I’m not doing programs, our guests won’t know how many BM’s I’m having. I have a beautiful instrumental of Over the Rainbow if you were interested? 🙂

Thanks but I’ll find a totally different song. That way I won’t picture FI cringing as I’m walking down the aisle, lol.
These are the three I’m down to:
1)Love never Fails by Brandon Heath
2) Divine Romance by Phil Wickham
3)All of Me by Matt Hammit(of Sanctus Real)
I don’t mind lyrics for mine, whatever I chose will be played on an ipod attached to speakers (company doing my wedding doing it). All three of those songs I love and each one has meaning to me so not sure which one I’ll choose.
Thankfully I’m not choosing the recessional, told FI he can pick whatever song he wants.
