Great post! I was on the Brides.com message board before I found weddingbee (a year+ ago), and it was funny when I saw one of your posts here... I thought... hey! I know her! (in an oddball internet way.)
And I'm glad you were able to be legally married... I hope one of these days everyone can.
Very neat story! Being more of a secular (and slightly ignorant) Jewish woman, I knew little behind the contract of the Ketubah. How neat that you modified it to be less traditional (ah hem - sexist) and fit with two women.
My Catholic guy and I are having an interfaith ceremony performed by a reverend who is Jewish. We're doing the glass breaking tradition, however, which I have been learning has reached American weddings of all religions and ethnicities.
