Whatever the reason for your multiple dresses (changed your mind on your first dress, just wanted a cute reception dress, etc.), show us your dresses! I’m curious to see the differences or similarities in your first and second (or third, or fourth 🙂 ) dresses.
I’m a two dress bride who got pressured into buying a dress over a year before my wedding at the second salon I visited. I’ve always wanted a dress with lace on it and for some reason I decided it was cool to buy a more modern dress with absolutely no lace on it. Needless to say, I hated my first dress for a while (even though it’s a similar silhouette as my new one) before I decided I just had to buy another dress. I ended up finding my new dress, a silk dress with lace applique, at a sample sale luckily so I didn’t pay too much for my mistake.
Here’s my first dress:
Here’s my second dress (sorry I don’t have a great picture of it):

I ordered a chinese replica of a Demetrios dress. although the dress was 100% right in every other way, i chose the colour champagne and they sent me dress#1 which i am sure you will agree is NOT champagne. this was paid for via paypal and i could not get a refund because it was a bespoke dress, and Paypal wont touch bespoke items. i was gutted, so i ordered a dress that i had been looking at BEFORE my original dress, and knowing someone else that had ordered from this OTHER chinese company, i once again…(crazy some might say) chanced it and ordered another dress from china…..(different company of course) , i havent recieved the dress yet but have been sent some pictures and i can tell it looks perfect to me.
i have some work to do on it, adding more applique’ and crystals, but all told, the price of both dresses together didnt cost the earth, so ia am not too bothered , as long as my new dress is as lovely in real life as it looks in the picture.
Dress #2, JA 8465 replica

I bought the reception dress first. I love it but I wanted something a little more traditional and made of silk so I decided to get another dress for the ceremony. I need to lose a few pounds but overall I’m very happy with it.

I bought a dress at DB after feeling very discouraged that there wasn’t a dress out there for me. After a hair trial last summer I tried it on and still felt uncomfortable in it. I finally decided something needed to change so I went dress shopping and found my second dress. I changed the neckline from a deep sweethear to a modified sweetheart, took out the zipper and had a lace up put in and am considering adding a lace panel. I feel a lot better in the second dress 🙂

@Jeannine @ Small Chic: Oooh, your reception dress is amazing!! I love the story of your first dress, but that reception dress is awesome too!
I just bought my second dress a mere 6 weeks before my wedding…I bought my first one back in September. I really did love it; it’s clean and modern and very “me,” but I wished it had a ballgown skirt rather than an A-line skirt, and I also regretted that it had no lace. I really wanted a lace dress or a dress with lace. I really couldn’t tell you what prompted me to look for another dress, except that when I looked at the pics of my first dress from the final fittings, I was just disappointed. For my first marriage, I HATED my dress…I couldn’t bear to look at wedding pictures because I hated my dress so much. Looking at those pics from the fitting and feeling disappointed just brought back memories from my first wedding, and I did NOT want that. So I miraculously found a sample dress in a style I’d coveted when I first started looking last fall, but never tried on because it was too expensive. It was in perfect condition at a price I could afford, so I bought it, and I’m thrilled!!!
Second dress, and the one I’ll be wearing:
