I need to pick two out of the three available house white wines to serve. The choices are chardonnay, pinot grigo & white zinfandel. (FYI the reds available are merlot & pinot noir, and we’re serving cheese ravoli & chicken with spinach & cheese dish.) What are your two favorites?

well, white zin is technically a blush. I’d offer that because most people do like that. So, my choice is white zin and chardonnay. Although I’ll say that i really don’t like any of those and prefer other types of white wines. But you should be safe with a blush and a white

I bartended for 9 years and taught bartending school for 2, and I honestly can say that I never met a single person who preferred white zin over chard or pinot. So I’d vote for those two and skip the white zin.

I would also pick the chardonnay and pinot grigio. Pinot grigio is light and sweet enough that it should appeal to people who like their wines sweet. I also don’t know many people who like white zin.

Definitely the pinot grigio and chardonnay! Enough contrast between the two to satisfy those looking for sweeter or more dry wine.

I voted for Pinot and Chardonnay…I think those are wines that appeal to more people than the Zinfandel…

Thanks – I just updated my menu to include the pinot & chardonnay!

I chose the pinot and chardonnay. I can’t stand white zin and In my opinion though, I would use a pinot and a riesling. I love all wine, but some people that don’t really have great taste buds for wine, may prefer a riesling since it’s sweeter than the other two.

Haha I’ll go against the grain and say of those three choices, I only like white zin. I don’t know anything about wines, but it’s one of the few that doesn’t make me cringe.
