My room is overflowing with wedding magazine, my fiance will probably make fun of me if i buy more =( . I probably will look at them at the bookstore though, especially the souther weddings one!
I am sad that my planning is practically done so the mags, while pretty, now just make me second guess all my decisions. I will buy Martha though--I just can't help myself with that one!
I saw that Martha Destinations one! I also have WAYYY too many wedding magazines. It's shameful. But I think I still might buy it--I mean, we haven't planned our honeymoon yet, so I could use some tips! That's a valid reason, right?
I am not the biggest fan of Martha (GASP!!!) because I'm not really the DIY type BUT her Destinations issue is great. I picked it up for a flight last weekend and it has a whole section on how to make your out-of-town guests feel welcome - useful for anyone with OOT peeps, not just destination brides. Plus, lots of pretty pictures!
How exciting! I will have to go and get the Martha destination wedding magazine tomorrow - great way to spend my weekend paging through it to get inspiration! Thanks for the tip - I didn't even know she had a destination wedding magazine coming out.
Do you know I haven't brought a bridal magazine in like three years?! I think I am cursed or something like that.. I don't know why I don't buy them, I look at them in lines and put them back lol!!
I saw the Martha Stewart one! SO exciting, even if I'm not having a destination wedding (well, for us it's not...for my parents it is). The Southern Weddings one I can't get because we're too far north, and I am SO bummed out! But yeah, I've got a stack of 12 (!!!) magazines in the corner of my room that I haven't gone through yet.
When the first Southern Weddings came out, we couldn't find a copy anywhere. My fiance contacted the editor of SW Mag, and she sent us two copies along with a handwritten note and also a followup email. It was awesome!
Hmmm I wonder if she'd send them up here! Kentucky is a very southern feeling state sometimes (except for northern KY and Louisville), but it's not really *considered* the South. Thank goodness, cause otherwise I would have identity issues all over the place.
She would! Just go to the website, and there's the contact email. :)
I haven't checked; but I wonder if I'll be able to find the Southern Weddings mag here in the Bay Area. We're not the south. But, I'm a Southern Belle at heart. I follow Southern Weddings blog and love everything they post.
Here's their web addy: www.swsmag.net
Southern Weddings site rocks! Beautiful eye candy and I think sometimes they even feature NON southern weddings too!
That site is close to my heart along with intimate weddings, stylemepretty, snippet and ink, and amy atlas' blog (good ideas on how to set up tables and areas for weddings and parties!). But my heart resides at WB!!!
I heart WB!
I bought 4 a couple weeks ago, and haven't looked at them yet cause I'm waiting to do it with my mom when I go visit her next week! I'm dying to look though! :)
@belle thanks for the S.W site :)
and Marthas Destination mag is gorgeous :) :)
I'm going to have to check out the MS Destinations mag. Hopefully, it's not all beachy destinations!

Woo hoo! I got one tonight at the grocery..it's Martha Stewart's DESTINATION Wedding mag! I can't wait. It's gonna be my eye candy this weekend and can't wait to see her "good things"!
The other coming out is the second edition of "Southern Weddings" and I absolutely cannot wait for this one either! The cover girl is so gorgeous and they're highlighting a photo shoot at Serenbe (in Georgia) which is a beautiful locale. It's like a sip of the sweetest tea ever for me!
Who else is running out to get some good reads this weekend and get one or both of these???
Cheers to a great wedding inspiration and reading weekend! Why cuddle up with a good book when you can read THAT!
