So I have two different ideas about my dress:
Everything I had wanted in a dress pointed to this one(Which I already bought) But once it was in my house, and I put it on a few times I realized that it was what I thought I should wear and not what I had dreamt about actually wearing.
And so I started to search around and found the Watters Austin, and now I can’t stop looking at it.
What to do?

Stick with your current dress.

To me it depends on whether you can afford to get a new dress and risk losing out if you sell the one you already bought. If not, then stick with the one you already bought. If you’re not worried about the money then by all means get the other dress.

Thanks, I could afford it

Have you tried on the Watters Austin? Sometimes dresses can look very different in a picture/on a hanger than on you. You might have a better idea after trying it on?

How tall are you? What is your body type?
Just playing devil’s advocate, I really do love both. In all seriousness though, the second dress could overwhelm you if you are very small.

I actually have a similar dress to the Watters Austin, it’s an Oleg Cassini from David’s. I love it. It’s an elegant ball gown without being too over the top. I say go for it!

I say stick with your current dress!

I love the current dress! Do you have a picture of yourself in either one? Or both?

I just tried it on today…It was amazing. I’m 5’5 my frame is small…but I think I needed something to highlight my waist. I’m almost rectangular shaped. It felt really nice. I hadn’t tried any ball gown types at all because we were supposed to have a really simple venue. But now the venue changed its more dressier but with a garden outdoorsy feel. Thanks for your help!

What do you want to look like on your wedding day? The first dress says Elegant, Sophisticated, and Sexy. The second is Fun, Flirty, and Romantic. I was in the same predicament with loving so many completely different styles, it was so hard to figure out which one because it was comparing apples oranges, but ultimately it came down to what I wanted my look to “say”. I decided that Fun and Princess-y (one of my top contenders) just wasn’t as me as Sophisticated and Glamorous.

That Casablanca dress is actually one of my all time favorite dresses, but you should do what you want, I’m sure you could sell it easily.

Do you have a photo of you in your dress? that could help a lot.

I love the 2nd dress, so that’s what I voted for. If its in your budget, I would go for it (or at least go try it on to see if you feel the same about it in person). But I love ball gowns, so I’m biased 🙂

I actually obsessed over the Watters Austin, too. Then when I actually tried it, I found that I felt so much better in my more fitted dress. So, I think you should try it on before you try to make a decision. If you try it and love it more than your current dress, since you said you have the budget for it, then go for it. You have to be the one who loves your dress. FWIW, I personally really love both of these dresses for different reasons. I love the sleek elegance of the Casablanca….but I have also seen some beautiful photos of real brides in the Watters dress. Keep us posted and share pics of yourself in the dress(es) if you have them!
