Alot of factors determine the cost of flowers. What type of flower do you want to use, are they in season? What are the size of the bouquets? Tall or low centerpieces? How many tables? It would be impossible to just know the cost for wedding flowers. I think you can do flowers with any budget.

I agree with july. You also need to factor in bouts for the guys and corsages for your mom and his mom.

My bouquet was $160, BM bouquets were $70.  For our moms, we did small bouquets, which were $35.  Grandmothers’ corsages were $15.  Bouts were $7-$10.

For our cocktail hour and reception, we spent $1200.  We had 12 tables.

We also did wreaths for the church doors.  Those were $60 each.

Our wedding was in RI so I figure the prices would be helpful since you’re so close.  But the others are right.  A good florist should be able to work with any budget.  If I could do it all over again, I’d do non-floral centerpieces with candles or vases with floating candles or flowers, or a basket of something, or just nothing.  Seriously.  No one would have missed it.  My florist was my fav vendor and my flowers were the best.  But I was so sad to throw them away that it felt silly to have spent all that money.

Gee wiz I can’t imagine spending over $100 on my bouquet let alone spending almost that much for my BM’s!

I’m going to make my bouquets.. Just buy the flowers at a wholesale store, or use the craft store coupons and buy them slowly. I don’t want to spend a bagillion dollars. I’m hoping it all evens out to less than $400.

One thing you can do after your wedding is donate your flowers to a senior citizen center or to hospitals. Then it becomes tax deductible. “) I myself am not having floral center pieces. I’ve also seen really beautiful center pieces that have maybe one large floating flower. Good Luck!
