I know, doesn’t it suck?

Especially when you spend so long working on your resume and cover letter, and you start to think “Hey, you know what? Maybe I really could do this.” And then shortly after, reality sets in again, and they never call.

But at the very least it’s good practice? I can churn out awesome cover letters in my sleep now… people even come to me for advice cause I’ve read every book ever on them… and I’m still stuck working at a grocery store.

UG indeed.

Go in and meet a manager or someone with some say in interviewing face to face. Places are getting so many resumes these days that getting yours pulled out of the pile seems like waiting to win the lottery. If you can’t go in atleast send an email so they know you are really pursuing the job they are offering and not just completing yet another application.

It really does suck! I will be crossing my fingers for ya though!
