So…a couple months ago I started breaking out like crazy. Mostly along my chin/jawline. They usually start a cropping up about a week or two before AF shows up. I know it’s probably hormonal, but it’s sooo annoying.
They feel like these little bumps under my skin and after a few days they turn into dark bumps that never fully come to a head.
Any clear skin gurus out there who would care to share some product suggestions? I’ll take all the help I can get….Thanks!

I use stridex pads everytime I get a breakout. I have sensitive skin so it doesn’t burn my skin but it does get rid of the blemishes.

I use Aveeno in the shower after working out, and I use stridex pads in the morning.

@OneOfTheseDaysAlice: @abbie017: Ohhhh!!! I totally forgot about Stridex pads. That’s a great idea!

I have really bad skin so using the stuff they sell at drugstores, etc would never work for me. Now I use a product called L’Bri. Its made from aloe vera and has worked wonders for me. They have a website too, they sell everything from facewashes to make-up that is also made from aloe. 🙂

@PinkPandaBear: Is your skin really sensitive? I use Caudalie facewash. It’s a little spendy, but it’s really gentle and I love it.

I just use Cetaphil. My dermotogist told me to stop using all the heavily medicated stuff and use more gentle products. My skin has improved a lot.

Origin Checks and Balances – AMAZING!

@PinkPandaBear: I use Cetaphil. I hate that it doesn’t foam, but honestly whenever I use it for an extended period of time, my skin gets better. If I get zit spots, I put a little astringent on them (clean & clear sensitive skin).

@MrsCarnival: I’m not sure actually. I’ve never really had a problem with my skin until recently (I guess it must be going through one of the purported 7 year changes or something).
The only thing that I seem to be sensitve to is lanolin. I’d been using Clean and Clear Morning Burst – no salycic acid, just Vitamin C and it seemed to be doing the trick. Until it wasn’t.
I’ve been using Dermalogica’s special cleasing gel which seemed to be pretty mild – but it’s not really doing the trick.
@Natalieh86: I’ve heard good things about Lush products. Maybe I’ll give them a whirl. Does it have fragrances in it?
@stephko99: Mm…their products look great! AND they give free samples. Ordered! Thanks!

@PinkPandaBear: I love biore blemish fighting ice cleanser. My facialist friend recommended it to me, and its cleared my face up so quickly!

I used to use Clinique’s Acne line but it just stopped working.
I recently bought Murad’s Acne line, they have a little sample kit you can buy:
So far, even just a week later, my skin has calmed down quite a bit.
I feel your pain!!

Peter Thomas Roth anti aging buffing beads for face and body….best stuff ever and I have tried everything…literally. You can get it at sephora.

@kariface: Ooh! I’ve seen that before. I’m a fan of their nose strips @MackInChiCity: I was a Clinique girl too until very recently – I think they may have changed their formula or something because their lotion irritated my skin a bit.
Soo many products, so little face space. Thank you for all the suggestions ladies! My face thanks you!
