Wow. That is so unprofessional and incredibly rude! I can't believe some people think posting stuff like that is okay!!
Wow! He's a horrible teacher. How dare he post such a thing? I hope someone reports him. And we wonder why so many of the kids today are depressed or more likely to commit suicide. SMH with tears.
Oh wow, that's really sad.
Funny though, this guy just might get what he deserves. There was a piece on the local news tonight about a girl that got fired over something she posted on Facebook. Hopefully the right people end up looking at his page...
I would report him to the school board, and his professional association. This is extremely unprofessional and is likely grounds for disciplinary action, if not dismissal.
Take a screen shot of the post and make sure to include it in your correspondence.
hhmm.. that doesn't sound very ethical. Seems very unprofessional and how hurtful for that child! I would be mortified if my teachers did things like that. Everyone is not fit to be a teacher, and that's a perfect example
ew.. that guy is gross. He should not be allowed to be a teacher. Report him!!!
That's horrible! I'm surprised he didn't loose his job over it.
I know! I was half tempted to report him but he has two young girls under the age of 5 and is a single dad. I don't want that on my conscience, I don't wish unemployment on anyone in today's economy.
Oh! And his response? "It's the same as anyone else complaining about their job. It;s just the nature of my work." and then another guy chimed saying that he doesn't need to worry about it and that the kid would never see.
That wasn't the point. The point was that he shouldn't be writing stuff like that for anyone to see. And furthermore, I don't think its a good idea for ANYONE to complain about their work on social media. People get fired for that stuff all the time. Keep it to yourself or tell someone who will listen in person. I'd never complain about my work in fear that the wrong eyes could see it!
It is NOT just the nature of his work! I'm a special education major, and seriously? that's not okay! You cannot talk about students like that...you can complain that you had a hard day or that your students were frustrating...but that is just taking it too far!
Wonder how he'd feel about nonsense like this if one of his daughters ended up with a teacher who did something like that with their work.
The "nature of" his work doesn't requires him to be a jackass.
...wow, that's really harsh. Sure, I complain about my job on FB sometimes, but I don't say "oh, this manager is a total idiot"! Not only was that not nice and disrespectful, but a student has every right to have private school-related correspondance with his teacher without worrying about whether or not it will show up on the internet. It's rough he's in the position he's in, because otherwise I would have reported him. But I can see why you wouldn't.
that is incredibly unethical. i am truly disgusted by this!!!
After his response, I would report him, kids or no kids at home. That shouldn't be done.
and i think you should report him anyways. those kids he's teaching deserve better!
Wow. Some people don't belong in the teaching profession at all (or anywhere else working with the rest of society). I agree with the above comment to take a screencap and report him immediately to the school district administration where he works. There is no reason he should still have a job after doing something like that. But some school districts unfortunately do tend to turn a blind eye to anything and everything.

Okay so I know this past week a few of us were talking about Facebook TMI .. this isn't really TMI but still a Facebook status that really got me hyped up tonight.
So a kid that I went to high school with (yes I know high school, forever ago, but still just listen) works at a local high school as a teacher for kids who need extra support. This was his facebook status today:
His Status: "Below is work a student actually emailed to me. It is real. This is the extent of the boy's ability. Good luck deciphering it... A few weeks ago I haled the best day I felt lick I now how to do all the wrke the weeks. Then last week I had to talk a test it was hard. I chrid my hardest but I stile failed. I felt lick I now nothing so now I will study befour ever test. it made me feal so imbarist"
Then a whole bunch of people commented how sad and pathetic it was.
I'm sorry? isn't it your JOB to help these kids? What about student/teacher confidentiality? How unprofessional. Oh, and how stupid to actually post the school district you work in in a follow up comment.
So I responded... "wow, that really is sad to see. But then again, I think I'd be even more embarrassed to find out one of my teachers posted something like this on facebook."
Ugh, some people just don't THINK!
