I’ve been working at my current job since April. It’s very very part time, like 3-9 hrs/week on good weeks. I barely make $100 a paycheck($200 or less a month). This was supposed to be temporary until I found something more stable. I’m obviously still looking and will take anything at this point.
Anyways, I asked work for more hours today and they said they couldn’t afford it. Guess who came in right before I left, two new hires waiting for training… Seriously? I would love the extra hours and they could skip hiring one extra person. I spend most of my paychecks on gas getting to work for 3 hour shifts.. I feel like I’m wasting money by keeping this job, but any money I keep goes straight to savings. I’m starting school again in January, but it’s online so I feel like I’m in the perfect situation for a full time day job. I just have no idea where to get started when all my experience is part time and moving from retail job to retail job over the last few years.
Don’t really need any problem fixing, just complaining about reality 🙂
