I know, I know, water weight has something to do with it as well as coming off a weekend where I didn’t eat the greatest or work out at all (friend of FI’s from high school had her bridal shower and bachelorette party). I’m sure I’ll be back to the normal number in a few days….
….BUT REALLY—6lbs!! How much do some of you other bees fluctuate during your up and down times?? Isn’t it frustrating how it bums you out!?

I usually only fluctuate 1-2 lbs even when I have a heavy eating weekend. But maybe you ate a lot of salty foods and you are just bloated. Also, if you are coming up on your period, that could account for some of it. Honestly, you’d have to have eaten a whole damn lot to gain 6 lbs in one weekend, so I wouldn’t worry, I’m sure it will shed in a day or so.

6lbs is actually not that big a fluctuation if you ate poorly and/or are coming up to or already have your period. I typically am 4lbs heavier when I am on my period. It probably is mostly water weight though, don’t stress it! 🙂 The number itself matters very little.

My range is a good 5 lbs. It is frustrating, for sure!

I have gained 5lbs since Friday (in total) and half of that was just going for Indian food last night. It is all water weight but it is ANNOYING as hell. Try going to the gym for a bit longer today. Also, eating a light meal tonight will help.

I gain between 3-5 lbs right before my period. It sucks, but it disappears as soon as my period stops and it is all water weight. I am not a fan of that at all, but that is life as a woman.

I gained a few pounds once I started adding weight training into my exercise regime, but I lost a few inches and looked better than I did at the lower weight.
But as far as water weight fluctuation/PMS water retention/etc… yeah I vary within 5 pounds of my normal weight.

I have bloated 5-6 pounds before, and it’s annoying as heck. It always happens to me when I fly. It’s particularly annoying because no one believes me that it’s water weight, but I always lose it within 1-2 days, so it can’t really be anything but water weight.

@MadTownGirl: Hey! What are you doing to workout? How often are you working out and for how long?
Going up 6 pounds must be frustrating, but don’t give up! You CAN do it! :] Let me know if I can help!

Weight can fluctuate on any given day about 5lbs. So 6 is definitely possible if you’ve been eating badly. Nothing to stress about. Just drink a lot of water!
